A server performs: acquiring measurement data of a mobile terminal; extracting fixed AP measurement data of a specific fixed AP; extracting measurement data including a measurement time of which a difference from the measurement time in the fixed AP measurement data is equal to or less than a threshold value, position information of which a difference from a position of the specific fixed AP is equal to or less than a threshold value, and a reception intensity of which a difference from the reception intensity in the fixed AP measurement data is equal to or less than a threshold value as target measurement data and to set the radio access point corresponding to the target measurement data as a target AP; and determining whether the target AP corresponds to a fixed AP on the basis of the measurement data corresponding to the target AP and the fixed AP measurement data.
INTERFERENCE SOURCE SEARCHING METHOD AND INTERFERENCE SOURCE SEARCHING APPARATUS
An interference source hunting method of hunting for an interference source of electromagnetic waves while moving between multiple measurement points, includes the steps of acquiring strength information of electromagnetic waves, estimating a distance from the measurement point to the location of the interference source, based on the strength information, calculating a first presence probability that the interference source is present at each position, based on whether a distance from the measurement point to the position is within the distance, updating second presence probabilities acquired in hunting in the past, based on the first presence probabilities, determining a position obtained by moving, by a predetermined distance, the measurement point toward a position with the second presence probability higher than the second presence probability at the measurement point, as a new measurement point, and determining, in a case where a size of an area in which each of the second presence probabilities is greater than or equal to a predetermined value is less than a predetermined value, that the location of the interference source is within the area.
GEOLOCATION OF RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES USING SPACEBORNE PHASED ARRAYS
A communication system has a phased antenna array configured to communicate via a plurality of beams with a wireless device, such as user equipment (e.g., a smart phone). The plurality of beams define a field of view of the phased antenna array, the field of view having a plurality of cells and each of the plurality of beams is associated with one of the plurality of cells within the field of view. A processing device detects the wireless device within the field of view and determines a coarse geographic location of the wireless device within the field of view of the wireless device when the wireless device is within the field of view, or within a cell. The system further determines a fine geographic location for the wireless device based on frequency offset (due to Doppler) and signal flight time.
