In the present invention, to make it possible to enhance the accuracy of positioning in an area not reached by a GNSS signal: a first position of a host device is estimated; the error of the first position is estimated; from a second device, other device information is received that includes a second position of the second device and a second error of the second position that have been estimated by the second device; and if the second error is smaller than the first error, the first position and first error are corrected on the basis of the other device information.

Systems and methods for tracking a location of a mobile device

A device determines, based on location verification data that has been received, that the device is indoors at a first geographic location. The device determines a base measured barometric pressure, and an initial floor that the device is located on in a structure that includes the first geographic location. The device determines an adjusted measured barometric pressure for a second geographic location based on a second measured barometric pressure for the second geographic location and one or more reference barometric pressures that are associated with a reference location. The device determines an altitude for the second geographic location based on the base measured barometric pressure and the adjusted measured barometric pressures. The device causes a server to predict a floor that the device is located on at the second geographic location and to provide floor data that identifies the floor to an interface that is accessible to the device.

Control method and device for equipment and refrigerator

The present application belongs to the technical field of smart appliances, and relates to a control method for equipment, comprising the steps of: acquiring a user instruction and a target position; acquiring the number of connected terminals of each locator beacon, determining target equipment according to the number of connected terminals of the locator beacon, and controlling the target equipment to move to the target position; acquiring position information of the target equipment, and calculating a distance between the target equipment and the target position according to the target position and the position information of the target equipment; and controlling the target equipment to stop moving when the distance between the target equipment and the target position is less than or equal to a set threshold.

ASSET TRAVEL MONITORING WITH LINKED ASSET TRACKING DEVICES

A method for inferring a status asset information from data of a first type gathered by a first asset tracking device is provided. The method includes determining that a first asset tracking device coupled to a first asset and a second asset tracking device coupled to a second asset are travelling together, that the first asset tracking device has a first operating mode, and that the second asset tracking device has a second operating mode, which is different from the first operating mode of the first asset tracking device. In response, the second asset tracking device enters into a low-power mode in which it either does not gather data of the first type or does so at a reduced rate. Status information related to the second asset may be inferred from data of the first type gathered by the first asset tracking device.

Pump Monitoring System

A fuel pump monitoring module for monitoring attributes related to a fuel pump at a gas station. The fuel pump monitoring module may have a body for attachment to the fuel pump. A transmitter or receiver may be connected to the body and configured to communicate with a bioremediation dispensing unit using a transmission signal. A processor may be connected to the body and configured to determine the location of the bioremediation dispensing unit relative to the fuel pump monitoring module based on the transmission signal.

Calibrating A Pressure Sensor

Calibrating a pressure sensor of a mobile device incudes determining an absolute calibration value used to calibrate pressure measurements by a pressure sensor of a mobile device; determining a first revisit zone as a first location to which the mobile device repeatedly returns; determining first and second calibrations for first and second visits to the first revisit zone; determining a first relative calibration adjustment value based on a difference between the first and second calibrations; determining an adjusted absolute calibration value based on a sum of the absolute calibration value and the first relative calibration adjustment value; and estimating an altitude of the mobile device based on a pressure measurement by the pressure sensor and the adjusted absolute calibration value.

VEHICLE POSITION VALIDATION

A method for validating a current position of a first vehicle, the method comprising: receiving position data from the first vehicle, the position data providing the current position of the first vehicle; receiving position validation data associated with the first vehicle, the position validation data being generated by a source distinct from the first vehicle; and validating the current position of the first vehicle provided by the position data against the position validation data to determine an accuracy value for the current position.

ENHANCED 911 LOCATION FOR DENSE CELL NETWORK MESHES

Techniques for Enhanced 911 (E911) location for dense cell network meshes are provided. A method can include obtaining, by a system comprising a processor via a communication network comprising first network cells listed in a neighboring cell list of a user equipment, coverage area information for the first network cells, wherein the coverage area information comprises respective reported positions of the first network cells and respective coverage radii of the first network cells; determining, by the system based on the coverage area information for the first network cells, a first area in which respective coverage areas of the first network cells overlap; and defining, by the system, an estimated position of the user equipment as a selected position within the first area.

FALSE POSITIVE IMMUNITY IN BEACON SYSTEMS, AND RELATED SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES
20220128643 · 2022-04-28 ·

Disclosed embodiments relate, generally, to beacon systems where a locator beacon is used as a marker for a location of interest, and improving false positive immunity in such beacon systems. Confiner beacons are included in such beacon systems to confine a triggering area for triggering a location indication for a location of interest marked by a locator beacon. In other embodiments, arbitrarily shaped triggering areas are defined using confiner beacons. In other embodiments, errant locator signals are identified and handled (e.g., ignored).

DETERMINING THE LOCATION OF AN ANIMAL

Approaches for determining a location of an animal based on RSSI. An embodiment includes a method, comprising: receiving a first reading of an electronic animal identification tag attached to an animal from a first electronic tag reader; calculating a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) for the first reading; and determining a location of the animal based on the RSSI. Another embodiment includes a method, comprising: receiving a first reading of a first electronic animal identification tag attached to a first animal; calculating a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) for the first reading; receiving a second reading of a second 10 electronic animal identification tag attached to a second animal; calculating an RSSI for the second reading; and determining the location of the first animal based on the RSSI of the first reading and the RSSI of the second reading.
