The present application provides an electronic device and method for wireless communication, and a computer readable storage medium. The electronic device comprises a processing circuit, configured to: obtain beam related information of at least a first beam and a second beam estimated by a target user equipment, the beam related information comprising an angle of arrival of the beam and information for distance estimation; and determine the position of the target user equipment at least on the basis of the beam related information of the first beam and the second beam as well as an emission angle of the first beam and an emission angle of the second beam.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR LOW OVERHEAD FREQUENCY-AVERAGED BEAM PATTERN FEEDBACK IN MILLIMETER WAVE POSITIONING SYSTEMS
The position of a mobile device is estimated using angle based positioning measurements. The angle based positioning measurements are generated using transmit (Tx) beams or receive (Rx) beams from one or more base stations that generate the beams over an ultra-wide bandwidth, which produces frequency and spatial distortions and impairments in an array gain response. The array gain distribution variation as a function of angle and frequency for the set of beam weights used in beamforming is conveyed to indicate the frequency and spatial distortions. The array gain distribution variation may be provided to the mobile device in assistance data for a sub-band that is only a portion of the allocated bandwidth for the base stations, or as an aggregation of the array gain distribution variation for a plurality of sub-bands of the allocated bandwidth to reduce the overhead in signaling.
SOLID-STATE MINIATURE ATOMIC CLOCK AND METHODS OF USE
Solid-state miniature atomic clock (SMAC) within the form factor of an integrated circuit chip (aka microchip) or flexible device. The present invention includes architectures and methods of manufacture of SMACs. SMACs may include one or more vias, with some or all of the vias containing or other material suitable for an antenna. In addition, the SMAC may include a heating device for temperature stabilization.
TECHNIQUES FOR IMPROVING ANGLE-BASED POSITIONING PROCEDURES IN ULTRA-WIDE BANDWIDTH SYSTEMS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to perform positioning determination procedures, such as angle-based positioning procedures, with a base station to determine the position of the UE relative to the base station. To avoid positioning ambiguities that may result from antenna element spacing of an antenna module of the UE at some frequencies, such as mutual coupling or grating lobes, a UE may transmit a capability message indicating the capability of the UE related to the positioning procedures. In some cases, the UE may de-activate one or more antenna elements to increase the spacing between the antenna elements so as to mitigate mutual coupling when transmitting or receiving positioning reference signals. In some cases, the UE may request that the positioning reference signals be scheduled on some frequencies, not scheduled on other frequencies, or both.
PORTABLE DISPLAY DEVICE WITH OVERLAID VIRTUAL INFORMATION
A method for positioning a virtual object in an image of a scene including a real object is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a signal from a short-range wireless transmitter arranged at a predetermined position relative to the real object and determining a location and orientation of the portable device relative to the short-range wireless transmitter based on the received signal. The image of the scene is displayed with the virtual object, wherein the position of the virtual object in the image is based on the determined location and orientation of the portable device relative to the short-range wireless transmitter and on the predetermined position of the short-range wireless transmitter relative to the real object. A system, a portable device and a computer program product is also disclosed.
RELATIVE ANGLE-BASED POSITIONING METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a relative angle-based positioning method and an apparatus. In the method, a network device can flexibly select a reference direction, and support linear array-based angle positioning. The method includes: A network device participating in positioning exchanges an uplink positioning configuration with a positioning center, a terminal device, and a serving cell that participate in positioning. The network device participating in positioning receives a first reference signal sent by the terminal device. The network device participating in positioning determines angle measurement information based on the first reference signal. The network device participating in positioning reports the angle measurement information to the positioning center, where the angle measurement information includes a set reference direction and an angle of a direction of the terminal device relative to the set reference direction. The positioning center determines a location of the terminal device based on the received angle measurement information.
Systems, methods, and devices for electronic spectrum management for identifying open space
Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for automated identification of open space in a wireless communications spectrum, by identifying sources of signal emission in the spectrum by automatically detecting signals, analyzing signals, comparing signal data to historical and reference data, creating corresponding signal profiles, and determining information about the open space based upon the measured and analyzed data in near real-time.
Global navigation satellite system spoofer identification technique based on carrier to noise ratio signatures
Disclosed is a technique that can provide one or more countermeasures against spoofers. A beamformer can control an antenna pattern of a CRPA to generate a survey beam. The survey beam is swept across space to determine a characteristic signature based on carrier-to-noise ratios (C/No) for particular space vehicle signals. Matching C/No signatures can be used to identify the existence of spoofers and invoke a countermeasure, such as nulling.
POSITIONING METHOD IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING SAME
Disclosed are a positioning method in a wireless communication system, and a device for supporting same.
Outlier rejection for positioning
Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a positioning entity determines an initial set of wireless links over which positioning reference signals (PRS) are measured by a network node engaged in a positioning session, identifies a subset of wireless links of the initial set of wireless links based on an expected positioning measurement associated with a corresponding wireless link of the initial set of wireless links, a location of an anchor node associated with the corresponding wireless link, and an observed positioning measurement for the corresponding wireless link, and determines a location of the network node based on observed positioning measurements of the identified subset of wireless links.
