Associating semantic identifiers with objects

Computing devices and methods for associating a semantic identifier with an object are disclosed. In one example, a three-dimensional model of an environment comprising the object is generated. Image data of the environment is sent to a user computing device for display by the user computing device. User input comprising position data of the object and the semantic identifier is received. The position data is mapped to a three-dimensional location in the three-dimensional model at which the object is located. Based at least on mapping the position data to the three-dimensional location of the object, the semantic identifier is associated with the object.

WAKE AND SUB-SONIC BLAST GUNSHOT DETECTION

Trajectory estimate for a sub-sonic projectile can be derived from sampling a wake contribution of an acoustic signal detected at a multi-detector array. The wake contribution is sampled, in time, and the samples are processed to determine a bearing estimate for the projectile from which the acoustic wake derives.

Using direction of arrival with unique audio signature for object location detection

Multiple independently movable devices are located upon a platform. On the platform is a directional microphone array. Each of the movable devices is assigned a unique audio signature, which may be a pulse train of chirps or a pseudo random signal or some other audio sequence that is unique to the respective device. Each movable device announces itself with its unique audio signature, and the platform's directional microphone system determines the location from which the unique audio signature comes from. For range, a difference between the time of flight (TOF) of the light relative to the sound signature is used. As another technique a unique audio signature may be an audio water mark concealed in normal audio which may be emitted by the movable device. The watermark provides the identifying information of each movable device.
