The present disclosure discloses a method for managing a UAV control operation that includes: periodically receiving a request for transmission of UAV assistance information from a network entity and establishing a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the network entity. In response to the received request, the method further includes determining a triggering of at least one event corresponding to an initiation of a UAV control operation and transmitting UAV assistance information to the network entity in an RRC connected state based on the determined triggering of the at least one event. The method further includes receiving a control message from the network entity in response to the transmitted UAV assistance information. The control message includes information related to an execution of the UAV control operation. Thereafter, the method further includes executing the UAV control operation based on the information included in the received control message.

UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE POSITIONING METHOD BASED ON MILLIMETER-WAVE RADAR

Disclosed is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) positioning method based on a millimeter-wave radar, including a calibration stage and a positioning stage. The calibration stage includes: acquiring ground coordinates of the unmanned aerial vehicle; and extracting feature points from radar point cloud data and get the ground coordinates of the feature points. The positioning stage includes: acquiring radar point cloud data of a current frame and pre-processing; acquiring UAV motion data and fuse the data with radar point cloud data; extracting characteristic line segment from radar point cloud data; registering the characteristic line segment of the current frame with the characteristic line segment of the previous frame, and finding matching feature points and newly added feature points; and obtaining the ground coordinates of UAV and the ground coordinates of newly added feature points based on the ground coordinates of matched feature points on the map.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for location determining and reporting of a terminal device and a mobility measurement report based on a location of a terminal device. In a method for communication, a first terminal device incapable of using a satellite positioning system receives, from a second terminal device capable of using the satellite positioning system, a first message indicating a first time point of the satellite positioning system when the first message is transmitted. The first terminal device transmits, to the second terminal device, a responsive message to the first message after a predefined delay from receiving the first message. The first terminal device receives, from the second terminal device, a second message indicating a reference time point of the satellite positioning system when the second message is received by the first terminal device. With the embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device incapable of using a satellite positioning system can determine its accurate location and report the location to a network device, so as to optimize the mobility management of the terminal device.

Method and system using tightly coupled radar positioning to improve map performance

Feedback for map information is based on an integrated navigation solution for a device within a moving platform using obtained motion sensor data from a sensor assembly of the device, obtained radar measurements for the platform and obtained map information for an environment encompassing the platform. An integrated navigation solution is generated based at least in part on the obtained motion sensor data using a nonlinear state estimation technique that uses a nonlinear measurement model for radar measurements. The map information is assessed based at least in part on the integrated navigation solution and radar measurements so that feedback for the map information can be provided.

In one aspect, a first wireless device transmits one or more reference signals to at least one RIS associated with a second wireless device. The first wireless device receives one or more reflected reference signals reflected from the at least one RIS. The first wireless device calculates a signal RTT based on the one or more reference signals and the one or more reflected reference signals. In another aspect, a second wireless device transmits, to a first wireless device, information indicating a time, a duration, or a periodicity in which at least one RIS associated with the second wireless device is to be activated.
