System and method for intelligent infrastructure calibration
A system for infrastructure system calibration includes a sensor configured to be mounted to an infrastructure component and configured to detect an object. A corner reflector has an optical pattern and is arranged within a field of view of the sensor. The corner reflector has three surfaces that meet at a point.
Radar vectoring energy management guidance methods and systems
Methods and systems are provided for guiding or otherwise assisting energy management of an aircraft radar vectoring en route to a runway. A method involves determining a predicted lateral trajectory for the radar vectoring in accordance with interception criteria, wherein the lateral trajectory comprises a sequence of segments for satisfying the interception criteria from a current location of the aircraft and each navigational segment of the sequence is associated with an anticipated aircraft heading assignment. The method determines a reference vertical trajectory corresponding to the lateral trajectory, determines a target value for an energy state parameter of the aircraft at the current location on the lateral trajectory using the reference vertical trajectory, and provides indication of a recommended action to reduce a difference between a current value for the energy state parameter and the target value.
Method and system for detection by long integration of kinetically grouped recurring samples
Upon each new detection, called pivot detection, by a radar system, the method includes the steps consisting of: grouping together, with the pivot detection, grouped detections, defined as detections that belong to a sweep preceding the sweep of the pivot detection and that have a non-nil probability according to a grouping criterion; filtering the grouped detections so as to keep only detections that are kinematically strictly coherent with the pivot detection, by: initializing a histogram, each dimension of which is a temporal variation of a coordinate measured by the radar system; computing a potential value interval for each coordinate of the pivot detection and each grouped detection; computing a minimum temporal variation and a maximum temporal variation for the or each coordinate from potential value intervals of the pivot detection and each grouped detection; incrementing the set of classes of the histogram whose index along each dimension is located between the computed minimum and maximum temporal variations; and detecting a target once at least one class of the histogram reaches a predefined value.
Intelligent roadside unit and control method thereof
The present disclosure describes an intelligent roadside unit and a control method thereof, comprising: a circular camera array, including a plurality of cameras for capturing images in different road directions respectively; a circular radar array, including a plurality of radars for detecting obstacle information in different road directions respectively; and a controller configured to determine whether a vehicle is approaching according to the obstacle information detected by the radars, to turn on a camera corresponding to the radar that has detected the approaching of the vehicle to capture an image, and to control the cameras corresponding to the radars that have not detected the approaching of the vehicle to be in a standby state.
MARITIME SURVEILLANCE RADAR
A maritime radar system is provided, comprising a transmitter, a receiver, and one or more processors arranged to provide range and azimuth discrimination of a detection area by performing a delay/Doppler analysis of the echo of a single beam transmitted by the transmitter and received by the receiver.
Aviation weather control system
According to one embodiment, there is provided an aviation weather control system including: a processing unit configured to receive weather information of an area to be overseen including a vertically integrated liquid water content, and specify a weather phenomenon affecting an airplane based on the received weather information; and a notification unit configured to notify the weather phenomenon specified by the processing unit.
Radar monitoring system for traffic control and method thereof
A radar monitoring system and a radar monitoring method for monitoring a traffic control zone involve installing two radars near the traffic control zone so that the radars emit radar waves covering the traffic control zone and serve as backups for each other; locating any object in the traffic control zone as a coordinate point with respect to a set of X and Y coordinate axes, and subjecting the X and Y coordinate axes of the two radars to axial normalization, so that an identical object in the traffic control zone is located by the first radar and the second radar at approximately the same coordinate point. An alert area is defined in the traffic control zone and an excluded area around a resident facility in the traffic control zone is excluded from the alert area. When an object in the alert area is determined as an obstacle, an alert is triggered.

The traffic signal apparatus communication system includes a traffic signal apparatus for providing a message to a vehicle. The apparatus includes at least one spatially encoded marker, and the vehicle is configured to receive returns of a radar signal from the spatially-encoded marker. At least one controller of the vehicle is configured to determine the message encoded by the spatially-encoded marker based on the returns and to control the vehicle based on the message. The message may include a value indicating a time to a transition of a new state of the traffic signal apparatus, where the new state includes emission of light from one of a first light source, a second light source, or a third light source of the traffic signal apparatus.
