Ergonomically configured muscle release office chair
An office chair that is ergonomically configured to allow for the coordination of stretches to the pectoralis minor muscle, trapezius muscle, and scalene muscles to open up the thoracic outlet, release muscle tension, and reinforce proper structure is provided. The stretches may be performed by an average human user while sitting in the office chair throughout the workday. The ergonomically configured chair assembly may have a brace supported by the seatback and extending downwardly therefrom over a left and right shoulder of the seated average human in a cantilevered fashion and an arm restraining device positioned rearward with respect to the rear face of the upstanding seat back.
MULTIPLE SITTING POSITION CHAIR
A reconfigurable chair includes features that open up new sitting and resting positions for the user. The chair includes rotatable lateral side rests and a tilt adjustable back rest which when reconfigured, provide auxiliary resting platforms to support the body in different sitting and resting positions. The backrest may include a rotatable feature so that the backrest may be moved from an upright position to a flat position adding another level of support. A height adjustment mechanism may adjust the height of the backrest to add to the reconfigurability of the chair. Some embodiments include one or more gas pistons providing user-controlled adjustment of elements into any of an infinite number of user-controlled positions.
Chair for active engagement of user
A lower chair for supporting an upper chair on which a user sits. The lower chair including a base, a swivel mechanism supported by the base and defining a vertical swivel axis, and a four-bar linkage mounted to the swivel mechanism for rotation about the swivel axis. The four-bar linkage includes a coupler link that moves about a coupler curve. The lower chair also includes a column having a lower end affixed to the coupler link for movement of the lower end along the coupler curve. The column defines a column axis and is adapted to support the upper chair.
Chair backrest adjustment mechanism
An adjustment mechanism configured for adjusting a backrest of a chair, including a clamp element configured to be fixedly attached to a static frame, which extends along a longitudinal axis; a guided frame selectively moveably coupled to the clamp element and configured to be fixedly attached to the backrest, and wherein displacement of the guided frame relative to the clamp element is configured to urge corresponding displacement of the backrest either axially along a first axis extending generally transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis or angularly with respect to the longitudinal axis.
CHAIR FOR ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT OF USER
A chair includes a lower chair and an upper chair. The lower chair includes a tilt-swivel mechanism defining a vertical swivel axis, a yoke, and a column extending between the tilt-swivel mechanism and the yoke. The upper chair is pivotably mounted to the yoke about a horizontal upper chair pivot axis. The upper chair includes a seat adapted to cradle the ischial tuberosities of a user.
Adjustable stool
An adjustable stool having a support connected to a base at one end and seat at the opposite end. A foot rest is adjustably connected to the support. Adjustably connected to the seat is a back support. A lumbar support is adjustably connected to the back support. The back support has a horizontal portion and a vertical portion.
Therapeutic chair with adjustable back and method of using the same
A therapeutic chair with an adjustable backrest and cushioned fulcrum pad allows users to extend their thoracic spine over the fulcrum of the adjustable chair back. The device allows the individual to sit on the chair and adjust the height of the backrest so the fulcrum is matched to the patient's need for movement.
Portable adjustable lumbar support and ergonomic chair
A portable lumbar support and ergonomic chair having a lumbar support. The lumbar support has a seat hingedly coupled to a seat back having a teardrop-shaped lumbar support seat back cushion. A rigid back support portion may be rotated forward about hinges to collapse substantially parallel to the seat frame and backward to open to a variety of angles with respect to the seat frame. The seat back freely pivots around an upper lateral axis, and the rigid back support portion is linearly adjustable to space the seat back toward and away from the hinges to enable raising or lowering the upper lateral axis and thus the seat back with respect to the lower lateral axis. This provides multiple ways of changing which part of the teardrop-shaped lumbar support curve hits your lumbar curve for proper support. Variable lumbar lordotic support is thus provided.
STOOLS AND CHAIRS WITH TRANSLATABLE ARMRESTS
An apparatus that supports a user in a variety of positions to comfortably perform tasks, such as applying one or more tattoos to skin of a subject is herein disclosed. The apparatus can be reconfigured to optimally position and support the arms and/or chest of the user. The apparatus includes a vertically movable armrest assembly. Armrests can support the user's forearms while supporting the users chest such that the user can comfortably perform tasks in front of a chest support of the stool. The armrest assembly can be translated vertically to accommodate the user's body to achieve desired positioning.
Adjustable backrest/headrest system
This adjustment mechanism/assembly for a backrest/headrest includes a series of parts connected by a threaded rod with a knob on each end. The parts are arranged such that they sandwich two support members so that when the knobs are loosened the unit can easily slide up and down, changing the elevation of the backrest/headrest pad unit with respect to a seat bottom or seat back. Further, when the knobs are loose the upper member and its attached pad can be pivoted fore and aft and slide back and forth. Tightening the two knobs locks the entire unit in place.
