BEAMFORMING SONAR SYSTEM WITH IMPROVED SONAR IMAGE FUNCTIONALITY, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A system is provided for imaging an underwater environment. The system includes one or more arrays of transducer elements. Each array is operated at a fixed phase shift and varies in frequency so as to beamform multiple sonar return beams of a first range of angles and a second range of angles. The arrays can be oriented to cover the gap in sonar coverage for other arrays to create a continuous arc of sonar coverage. Accordingly, a 2D live sonar image can be formed. Three arrays are mounted in a housing in an X plus Line configuration with one of the arrays extending below the center of the X.
Underwater Camera with Sonar Fusion
A multi-function sensor system comprises a camera and a sonar device to enable various measurements to be achieved in a single unit, or as multiple co-located units, thus reducing the cost of having such multiple functions. The camera and sonar device may be calibrated individually and as a system to provide an accurate and correlated set of optical and acoustic data.

CLOUD STORAGE SYSTEM
Systems and methods for storing, analyzing, and remotely accessing fishing related data collected by a fish finder device are described. A fishing data management system is wirelessly connected to the fish finder device by an electronic communication connection. A mobile electronic device may be used to facilitate the electronic communication connection. The communication may be directed to the system wirelessly through a cellular, Bluetooth, or satellite navigation connection. The fishing management system is configured to receive and store data collected by the fish finder, analyze the data, and provide feedback to a user. A method of using the system allows the user to access the stored and analyzed data remotely.

Sonar transducer having electromagnetic shielding
A sonar transducer assembly is provided including a transducer configured to transmit one or more sonar beams into an underwater environment, a housing that holds the transducer, at least one electrical cable that enables electrical signals to be transmitted between the transducer and a computing device, and a conductive enclosure disposed around at least a portion of the transducer and electrically connected to a ground line of the electrical cable to create a shielded volume. The conductive enclosure reduces an electromagnetic field within the shielded volume.

UNDERWATER INFORMATION VISUALIZING DEVICE
An underwater information visualization device, which is installed on a moving body such as a ship traveling near a water surface and visualizes and displays information about fish in the water and the seabed using an ultrasonic wave, includes circuitry that generates a pseudo noise sequence signal and a modulation circuit that modulates a carrier signal to form a transmission signal, emits a transmission signal as an ultrasonic wave into the water, receives an echo of an ultrasonic wave, determines an echo corresponding to a transmission signal by subjecting the echo to correlation processing with a pseudo noise sequence signal, displays an output signal. The display simultaneously displays multiple reception signals on a screen, and a period of transmission signals is (2D/Vu) or less when an underwater sonic wave speed is Vu and a distance to the seabed is D.

Fishfinder
A fishfinder has: a transducer capable of transmitting an ultrasonic wave underwater and receiving a reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave; a display part that time-sequentially arranges a detection image based on a reception signal, caused by receiving the reflected wave with the transducer; a first depth calculation part that calculates a first depth as a depth of the bottom; a recognition part that performs recognition on an object as a fish school; a second depth calculation part that calculates a second depth as a depth of a position of the object; a distance calculation part that calculates a distance from the bottom to the position of the object; and a distance display part that displays the distance calculated with the distance calculation part, in correspondence with the position of the object in the detection image displayed on the display part, on the display part.
