Method for positioning pico remote radio unit and system for positioning pico remote radio unit
This application describes methods and system for positioning pico remote radio units. Drive test information on a terminal side and drive test information on a network management system side are recorded when a drive test is performed, and pico remote radio unit position information and a pico remote radio unit identifier are automatically associated and bound based on the drive test information on the terminal side and the drive test information on the network management system side, to facilitate positioning of a pico remote radio unit, and to ensure efficient system operation and maintenance.
MACHINE GUIDANCE INTEGRATION
Disclosed herein is a system for controlling a mining machine within an underground mine. A rotatable laser source sends laser light and return light sensor receives reflected laser light and provides an indication of distance and return light intensity at multiple different rotation angles. A co-ordinate reference point comprises a pattern of varying reflectivity and provides at least a 2D co-ordinate position. A processor determines an absolute co-ordinate position in space of the mining machine as the mining machine moves through the underground mine. The processor collects intensity values of reflected laser light for multiple respective rotation angles and detects the pattern of the reference point in the multiple intensity values of reflected laser light, and determines the absolute co-ordinate position in space of the mining machine based on spatial information of the detected pattern.
RECHARGING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Methods and apparatuses are provided for use in monitor power levels at a shopping facility, comprising: central control system separate and distinct from a plurality of self-propelled motorized transport units, wherein the central control system comprises: a transceiver configured to wirelessly receive communications from the plurality of motorized transport units; a control circuit coupled with the transceiver; and a memory coupled to the control circuit and storing computer instructions that cause the control circuit to: identify available stored power levels at each of the plurality of motorized transport units; identify an available recharge station, of a plurality of recharge stations distributed throughout the shopping facility, at least relative to a location of the first motorized transport unit intended to be subjected to recharging; and wirelessly communicate one or more instructions to cause the first motorized transport unit to cooperate with an available recharge station.
Systems, devices and methods of providing customer support in locating products
Some embodiments provide a system comprising: multiple self-propelled motorized transport units; a wireless communication network; and a central computer comprising: a transceiver, a control circuit and a memory storing computer instructions that when executed by the control circuit cause the control circuit to: receive a request from a customer requesting location information for a requested item; identify the requested item is a category of items, and identify category location information; communicate routing instructions to the motorized transport unit based on the category location information causing the motorized transport unit to initiate physical movement; and communicate to the motorized transport unit a species clarification inquiry instruction configured to cause the motorized transport unit, while implementing routing instructions to move toward the category location, to present a clarification inquiry to the customer seeking clarification in narrowing the identified category to one or more products categorized within the identified category.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A LOCATION OF A MOBILE DEVICE BASED ON AUDIO LOCALIZATION TECHNIQUES
This document describes a system and method for determining a location of a mobile device within an enclosed space using audio localization techniques. In particular, the system and method utilizes audio localization techniques to identify the location of a mobile device within a multi-storey multi-room structure or an enclosure with multiple rooms.
Beacon-based position awareness system
A system comprising: a transmitting device configured to transmit, in at least one plane, a plurality of directional signals each covering an angular sector, wherein every adjacent pair of said angular sectors overlaps partially to create a logical sector, and wherein each of said plurality of directional signals encodes at least an indication regarding each said logical sector associated therewith; and a client device comprising program instructions executable by at least one hardware processor to: cause the client device to receive at least some of said plurality of directional signals, calculate a signal strength level (RSL) value for each of said received directional signals, and determine that said client device is located within a said logical sector, when two highest said RSL values (i) are related to two said directional signals associated with said logical sector, and (ii) are within a specified value range of each other.
Location determination using acoustic models
Systems and methods of estimating a location of a mobile computing device are provided. For instance, acoustic signals can be received from one or more transmitting devices associated with a real-time locating system. A set of peaks can be selected from the received acoustic signals. A first set of transmitter locations can be assigned to the selected set of peaks. The first set of transmitter locations can be specified by an acoustic model specifying a plurality of transmitter locations within an acoustic environment in which the one or more transmitting devices are located. A first model path trace associated with the first set of transmitter locations can be compared to the received acoustic signals. A location of the mobile computing device can be estimated based at least in part on the comparison.
Mapping objects on a movable platform
A method, system and product for mapping objects on movable platforms, including, obtaining sensor information from sensors of user devices, wherein the sensor information indicates that the user devices are in proximity to anchor stations; defining a timeframe for analysis based on an indication extracted from the sensor information that the movable platform is stationary throughout the timeframe; determining a relative location of the anchor stations within the movable platform, whereby automatically determining a mapping of the anchor stations within the movable platform; obtaining a reading from a user device when the user device is located in proximity to at least one of the anchor stations; and determining a relative location of the user device within the movable platform based on the mapping of the anchor stations within the movable platform and based on the reading from the user device.
