Ranging assisted pedestrian localization
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a first pedestrian user equipment (PUE) includes performing a ranging operation to a set of UEs, the set including at least a second PUE, and providing ranging data to a third entity, the third entity comprising a vehicle user equipment (VUE) or a road-side unit (RSU). The set of UEs may be randomly selected or selected using a selection algorithm. The set of UEs may be selected by the PUE or by the third entity. The ranging data may include the location of the first PUE, and may include a report on the battery status of the first PUE. The third entity may use the ranging data to update estimated positions of the first PUE and the set of UEs.
TOOL TRACKING SYSTEM
A beacon transmitter including a wireless transceiver and an electronic controller coupled to the wireless transceiver. The electronic controller is configured to repeatedly transmit, via the wireless transceiver, a first beacon signal through a first number of transmission repetitions spaced at a first repeat interval, and receive an acknowledgement signal via the wireless transceiver. The electronic controller is also configured to stop transmission of the first beacon signal for a first predetermined amount of time based on receipt of the acknowledgement signal, determine that the first predetermined amount of time has expired, and resume repeatedly transmitting, via the wireless transceiver, the first beacon signal in response to determining that the predetermined amount of time has expired.
Method and system for determining the position of at least one industrial truck
A method is provided for transmitting data in a system for determining a location of at least one industrial truck comprising a mobile radio station and positioned in an area having a plurality of stationary radio stations. The method comprises transmitting a position-determining signal from the mobile radio station to the plurality of stationary radio stations. The position-determining signal is received and a position signal is transmitted from the plurality of stationary radio stations to the mobile radio station. Additional data is appended to at least one of the position-determining signal and the position signal and is evaluated. A current vehicle position is then determined from at least three received position signals.
Approach for consolidating observed vehicle trajectories into a single representative trajectory
A method and apparatus is provided for controlling the operation of an autonomous vehicle. According to one aspect, the autonomous vehicle may track the trajectories of other vehicles on a road. Based on the other vehicle's trajectories, the autonomous vehicle may generate a pool of combined trajectories. Subsequently, the autonomous vehicle may select one of the combined trajectories as a representative trajectory. The representative trajectory may be used to change at least one of the speed or direction of the autonomous vehicle.
Positioning method and device, on-board equipment, vehicle, and positioning system
A positioning method and device, on-board equipment, a vehicle, an electronic device, a positioning system, and a storage medium, relating to the field of autonomous driving technologies. The method includes receiving a broadcast message broadcast by a first object, the broadcast message carrying broadcast positioning information of the first object, recognizing a collected image of a second object to acquire recognition information of the second object, the recognition information including image recognition positioning information of the second object, and determining location information of a control device according to the acquired broadcast positioning information and image recognition positioning information.
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for road noise mapping
A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for encoding audio events as geo-referenced audio events for use in location establishment. Methods may include: receiving first audio data from a first sensor; identifying, within the first audio data, a first audio event, where the first audio event satisfies at least one predefined criteria; identifying a location corresponding to the first audio event; encoding the first audio event in a database to correspond to the location; receiving second audio data from a second sensor; identifying, within the second audio data, a second audio event; correlating the second audio event with the first audio event; and providing the location in response to the second audio data. The at least one criteria may include a statistically significant change in amplitude in the audio data.
Systems and methods for device load transfer in a hybrid monitoring system
Various embodiments provide systems and method for hybrid monitoring of individuals using both a combination of a user attached monitor device and a user detached monitor device.
