A system and method of tracking and classifying an athlete's stick techniques used during a sporting event are disclosed, which includes measuring detailed motions and position of at least one stick object being used in sports, producing relevant stick technique patterns and classifying those patterns in a relevant manner. Classified stick pattern data is used to improve the accuracy and clarity of sporting event metrics, the ability to quantify athlete's skill and the ability to develop athletes based on their game situation techniques. The method used allows for accurate, near real-time discovery of stick patterns during live sporting events without altering or impacting the game or an athlete's ability to perform.

Radionavigation for swimmers

Methods, systems and computer program products for radionavigation for swimmers are described. A mobile device configured to estimate a location using radio frequency signals can estimate a position of the swimmer when the mobile device is worn on a limb of the swimmer and periodically submerged. The mobile device can supply auxiliary information to a radionavigation subsystem to correct a navigation solution affected by limb motion of the swimmer and affected by the periodic submersion of the mobile device.

User terminal and search system

A user terminal includes a communication device configured to receive radio waves transmitted from a wireless communication tag provided on a golf ball, an output device configured to output information to a user, and a controller configured to control the output device and output information according to radio waves transmitted from the wireless communication tag provided on a golf ball.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VOICE ACTIVITY DETECTION AND GENERATION OF CHARACTERISTICS RESPECTIVE THEREOF

A system and method for analyzing sound signals within a predetermined space, including: analyzing a plurality of sound signals captured within a predetermined space via at least one sound sensor; generating a grid corresponding to the predetermined space based on the plurality of sound signals, wherein the grid is utilized to identify areas within the predetermined space as interest points; identifying, based on the interest point, at least one sound generating object within the grid based on the analysis of the plurality of sound signals; and identifying at least one characteristic of the plurality of sound signals.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT

One aspect of the invention provides a system for monitoring athletic equipment. The system includes: a plurality of antennae positioned around edges of a field, wherein each antenna is configured and adapted to read radio frequency identifications (RFID) within a defined zone; an RFID tag attached to an article of athletic equipment; and a computer in communication with each antenna of the plurality of antennae. The computer is preprogramed with a database defining dimensions of the field. The computer is configured and adapted to process a signal from one or more antenna of the plurality of antenna in connection with the database to determine a position of the RFID tag.
