RADIONAVIGATION FOR SWIMMERS
Methods, systems and computer program products for radionavigation for swimmers are described. A mobile device configured to estimate a location using radio frequency signals can estimate a position of the swimmer when the mobile device is worn on a limb of the swimmer and periodically submerged. The mobile device can supply auxiliary information to a radionavigation subsystem to correct a navigation solution affected by limb motion of the swimmer and affected by the periodic submersion of the mobile device.
Methods and apparatus for secure persistent location based digital content
Augmented reality apparatus and methods of use are provided with secure persistent digital content linked to a location coordinates. More specifically, the present invention links a physical location with digital content to enable a user interface with augmented reality that combines aspects of the physical area with location specific digital content. According to the present invention, digital content remains persistent with a location even if visual aspects of the location change.

More specifically, the present invention links a physical location with digital content to enable a user interface with augmented reality that combines aspects of the physical area with location specific digital content. According to the present invention, digital content remains persistent with a location even if visual aspects of the location change.
Wireless Tag Location System and Method Thereof
A method for locating a wireless tag includes transmitting a first set of signals by the wireless tag in a first time period, receiving the first set of signals by a base station of at least one base station during the first time period, generating a first set of distance values according to the first set of signals received by the base station, generating a first subset of distance values by removing at least a maximum distance value and a minimum distance value from the first set of distance values, obtaining a first distance between the wireless tag and the base station by averaging the first subset of distance values, and identifying a first location of the wireless tag according to at least one first distance.
TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND TRANSMISSION METHOD, RECEPTION DEVICE AND RECEPTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
The present disclosure relates to a transmission device and a transmission method, a reception device and a reception method, and a program that enable acquisition of accurate location information in an indoor environment. A reception device includes: an intra-body communication reception unit that receives location identification information from another device by a communication method using the human body as the communication medium, the location identification information being for identifying the location of the reception device; a location recognition unit that recognizes the current location of the reception device in accordance with the received location identification information; and a storage unit that stores the recognized current location. The present disclosure can be applied to transmission/reception devices and the like that perform communication by a communication method using the human body as the communication medium.
System and method of continously tracking at least one competitor on an athletics track
A system and method for continuously tracking a competitor on an athletics track, including: a wireless transmitter operable to wirelessly submit a query provided with a timestamp, a wearable transponder attachable to the competitor, and configured to receive the query, to generate a transponder specific response and to wirelessly transmit the response, stationary receivers distributed across or around the athletics track. Each of the stationary receivers is configured to receive the transponder specific response and to determine a runtime, which is indicative of a point in time relative to the timestamp at which the transponder specific response has been received by the respective stationary receiver. A processor is connected to the stationary receivers and is configured to determine a position of the wearable transponder relative to the athletics track or relative to the stationary receivers on the basis of the runtimes received from the stationary receivers.
Tracking system for persons and/or objects
A tracking system that tracks persons and/or objects of interest without the need for triangulation techniques is disclosed. The tracking system utilizes very low power active radio frequency tags with limited effective broadcast range that operate only in the transmit mode with no need to establish two-way communication with any part of the system. The person or object of interest is provided with a radio frequency tag incorporating a unique identifier. Gateways connected to a common network interface are positioned relative to specific areas within the facility to be monitored. A computer connected to the same network as the gateways analyzes data relating to the strength of the of the radio frequency signals received by the radio frequency receivers from the radio frequency tags to determine if, and when, persons and/or objects of interest are present within particular subareas within the facility.

More specifically, the present invention links a physical location with digital content to enable a user interface with augmented reality that combines aspects of the physical area with location specific digital content. According to the present invention, digital content remains persistent with a location even if visual aspects of the location change.
INDOOR TAG LOCATION DETECTION SYSTEM
A method for locating wireless tags is described. A signal including a RoomID generated by a transceiver is received by a wireless tag. The RoomID identifies a room corresponding to the transceiver and the wireless tag receives the signal asynchronously without being synchronized with the transceiver. A tracking packet including the RoomID and an identifier of the wireless tag is broadcasted by the wireless tag. The tracking packet is received by an access point which provides the tracking packet to a localization system that determines a location of the wireless tag based on the RoomID.
