Assembly For Adjusting A Lumbar Region Of A Seat
An assembly for adjusting a lumbar region of a seat frame. A support is provided for suspension in the frame and is movable between lumbar positions. An actuator having a chassis and a drive is attached to the support. A wire extends between a first end engaging the drive and a second end for attachment to the frame. First and second spaced guides are mounted to the support and slidably support the wire. An intermediate device supports the wire and has a mount for attachment to the frame. A conduit disposed about the wire has a first end coupled to the actuator and a second end mounted to the intermediate device such that movement of the drive moves the wire relative to the guides and the intermediate device so to move the first guide relative to the second wire end and the second guide relative to the intermediate device.
SEATBACK FOR AN ARTICLE OF ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE
The invention concerns a seat back (10) for an article of adjustable furniture comprising: a frame (12), at least one movable support section (14, 80) mounted for angular adjustment with respect to the frame; cam means (64) associated with one of the frame and the movable support section, cam follower means (58) associated with the other of the frame and the movable support section; actuator means (38) for moving said cam means or cam follower means associated with the frame with respect to the frame; whereby movement of said actuator means effects relative movement of said cam means with respect to said cam follower means and said relative movement effects angular adjustment of said support section relative to the frame to alter the seat back configuration. The present invention contemplates embodiments where the support section(s) comprise(s) an adjustable head rest (14), an adjustable lumbar support (80) or both.
ADJUSTABLE SPINAL SUPPORT APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND DEVICE
An adjustable spinal support apparatus, system, and device is described. The adjustable spinal support allows for easy customization of a desired spinal contour. The support provides a structure for using non-deforming space adjusters, individually or in combination, to create various thicknesses along the length of the support. The support may be removably secured to a recliner, or a reference contour. A reference contour may provide convenience and portability in some applications. A padding (or cover) may be attached to the adjustable spinal support or attached to both the adjustable spinal support and a reference contour.

PORTABLE LUMBAR SUPPORT APPARATUS
A portable lumbar support apparatus comprising a fabric panel removably mountable on to a backrest of a seat. The fabric panel comprises at least one vertical patch of loop fastener attached onto a front face. The apparatus further comprises a pillow comprising at least one patch of hook fastener removably attachable to the loop fastener of the fabric panel at different heights to support lumbar region in a seated position. The height of the pillow is adjustable for different users by attaching the pillow at different position along the vertical patch of the fabric panel.
LUMBAR SUPPORTING SYSTEM OF CHAIR AND CHAIR HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed is a lumbar supporting system of a chair and a chair having the same, and an object to be achieved by the present disclosure is to provide a lumbar supporting system of a chair and a chair having the same, which are capable of accurately supporting a user's waist according to the user's body type by adjusting a height and depth of a lumbar pad by using a vertical operating force.
ADJUSTABLE BACK SUPPORT FOR A SEATING SURFACE
A back support for a chair includes a cover configured to be coupled to opposing sides of a chair frame. A strap is connected to the cover. A sled having a central portion is coupled to the strap, the sled is configured to pivot with respect to the chair frame and provide support to a user's back. The cover is configured to moveably connect to the chair frame between a low position and a high position. The sled is configured to pivot as the cover moves between the low position and the high position so that the central portion of the sled is substantially parallel to at least a portion of a membrane connected to the frame between the low position and the high position.
