A system and method are disclosed which prevent structural damage to a chair footrest in an aircraft. Aircraft typically include release pins which when pulled out of apertures at different angular positions on arms existing on each side of the seat frame enable a user to set the footrest at different angular positions. To avoid overloading, the pin has been included in a pivotable housing on an axle. Resistance against rotation of the pin is provided using a torsion spring. This enables the resistance to be set at a level that allows the pin to break out to prevent overloading.

Convertible furniture with selectively expandable mattress cushion section(s)

A cushion, mattress or mattress section for a convertible furniture article defines a plurality of apertures, such as slits or slots or recesses, extending into or through the cushion or mattress section that are cut in a direction at an angle to the first length of the mattress section. The cushion or mattress section expands from its first length to a second length that is longer than the first length upon applying a stretching force to the cushion or mattress section and thereby positioning the mattress section into the open or sleeping configuration. Expansion is due to resilience of the material forming the mattress or mattress section in combination with opening of the apertures. The sleeping surface of the mattress or mattress section may remain substantially planar in both the open (sleeping) position and closed (seating) position.

AIR CONDITIONING SEAT

An air conditioning seat configured to blow temperature-adjusted air and including: a seat including a seat cushion and a seat back; a lateral member which is provided along the seated person seated on the seat on a lateral side of the seated person; a first air duct which is provided in the lateral member and is configured to guide the temperature-adjusted air towards the seated person; and a first air outlet from which the temperature-adjusted air is configured to be blown out from first the air duct, wherein the temperature-adjusted air is configured to be directed and blown out towards at least one of a knee and a lower leg portion of a leg of the seated person through the first air outlet, the at least one of the knee and the lower leg portion being positioned on a front side than a front end of the seat cushion.

Upright active-sitting seat

An upright active-sitting seat provides a connection of a seating leg to a base through an articulating joint that allows the user to move a seat front to back and side to side, allowing a more active sitting that encourages blood circulation. The chair includes a seat supported by a post that is connected to a mount via a ball joint rod by a transverse rod that is routed through the ball joint rod end. By way of a coil spring that engages with the mount and the post, the post is spring biased to a home position relative to the mount. When using the chair, a person may move the seat from the home position to a comfortable seating position. When the person stands from the chair after using it, the chair returns to its spring biased home position.

A portable work support device and support for a key board and a pointing device, such as a mouse, for use by occupants of reclining capable office chairs having an adjustable fitted footrest assembly connected to the chair that will provide the seated chair user the ability to achieve a desired pelvis/feet triangulation stabilization effect while reclined by having the seated user's feet placed correctly in an attached footrest thereby producing a tactile input or cue that will lead to the desired muscle or motor output, causing the seated user to actually sit all the way back in the chair, and to be in a posture biomechanically neutral for using and working on the portable work support device, a work station removably housing the portable work support device, and a foot rest assembly to which a chair can be tethered so that a computer user can be properly positioned in a reclining position in the chair and have reduced posture issues when using the work support device while using computer or like equipment.

Chair footrest frame

Disclosed is a chair footrest frame, comprising a base sliding block (1) fixed to both sides of a bottom face of a chair base, sliding rods (2) arranged in a sliding manner respectively on the base sliding blocks (1), a footrest cushion (7) provided between the two sliding rods (2), and a roller ball (12) suitable for the sliding of the sliding rods (2) being provided on the base sliding block (1). The frictional force between the sliding rods and the base sliding block is relatively small, abrasive wear is relatively low, and operation is simple and convenient, which benefit improvement of the functionality and service life of the footrest frame.
