ACOUSTIC APPARATUS AND ACOUSTIC SYSTEM
An acoustic apparatus includes: a three-dimensional network structural body that is an aggregate of filaments that are made of a resilient resin, each randomly looped or curled, fused to each other, and intertwined with each other; an at least one speaker that generates acoustic waves; and a board-like resonance board. The three-dimensional network structural body has a front surface that is held in direct or indirect contact with a human body, and an inner surface that faces the front surface. The at least one speaker includes a vibrating portion that faces the inner surface of the three-dimensional network structural body, and a frame portion that holds the vibrating portion while allowing the vibrating portion to vibrate. The frame portion is mounted to one side surface of the board-like resonance board through intermediation of a resilient mounting material.
CHAIR INCLUDING MULTI-CHANNEL SOUND SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a chair including a multi-channel sound system, and more particularly, to a chair including a multi-channel sound system capable of providing a sense of space and a three-dimensional effect to a user who sits in the chair through sounds output from a plurality of channels.
Furniture console and methods of using the same
A furniture console having a base and at least one of a lighting device selectively mounted to the base, a first charging device supported by the base, a thermal energy transfer assembly configured to heat or cool a first container selectively mounted to the base, and an electricity storage assembly mounted within the base, the electricity storage assembly being configured to power the furniture console. A control assembly configured to control operation of the at least one of the lighting device, the first charging device, and the thermal energy transfer assembly.
Chair system with an untethered chair with speakers
A chair system including a main unit and an untethered chair is provided. The main unit includes a wireless transmitter, a subwoofer, an audio stream receiver and a processor. The untethered chair includes a plurality of speakers, a power source and a wireless receiver for receiving a processed audio stream from the main unit.
OUTDOOR CHAISE LOUNGE WITH INTEGRATED LOCK-BOX TO SECURE VALUABLES
An outdoor chaise lounge may include a frame, multiple legs coupled to and extending below the frame to support the frame, a seat member coupled to the frame to enable a user to sit or lay on the seat member, a lock-box fixedly supported by the frame that enables a user of the outdoor chaise lounge to store and lock items therein. The lock-box may include a lock-box door inclusive of a user interface that enables a user to lock and unlock the lock-box. A door member may be coupled to the seat member and have a closed position and an open position such that when said door member is in the open position, the user has access to the user interface on the lock-box door.
SPEAKER APPARATUS AND CHAIR
A speaker apparatus includes a pair of left and right speaker blocks that respectively have acoustic output sections and that are arranged inside a backrest. The pair of speaker blocks are arranged horizontally side by side relative to a headrest located on a front surface side of the backrest, and at least part of the headrest is located within a range of a nominal directivity angle of acoustics output from the acoustic output sections. This ensures that, of the acoustics output from the acoustic output section of the speaker block on the left side, at least some acoustics that head for the right ear are blocked by the headrest and that, of the acoustics output from the acoustic output section of the speaker block on the right side, at least some acoustics that head for the left ear are blocked by the headrest.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TUNING BASED ON FURNITURE CONFIGURATION
An electronic furniture assembly of the present invention includes: (i) a furniture assembly comprising: (A) a base (e.g., a seat portion), (B) at least one transverse or upright member (e.g., a side, armrest or backrest), and (ii) a speaker system mounted within one or more portions of the furniture assembly. A method of tuning a speaker of an audio-enhanced furniture system includes presenting a user with predetermined tuning profiles corresponding to a plurality of configuration footprint shapes in which the furniture assembly can be assembled and in response to a user selection of a given configuration footprint shape, tuning the speaker system according to the tuning profile selected by the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CORRECTING SOUND LOSS THROUGH PARTIALLY ACOUSTICALLY TRANSPARENT MATERIALS
An audio-enhanced furniture system comprises: a furniture assembly having a partially acoustically transparent material, such as an upholstery fabric or a perforated, rigid structure that is perforated in order to be more acoustically transparent; and a speaker system positioned within the furniture assembly, the speaker system including a speaker covered by the partially acoustically transparent material. The speaker is configured to be tuned to compensate for sound being emitted from the speaker through the perforated partially acoustically transparent material.
Rocker
A rocker includes a frame and a seat coupled to the frame for receiving an infant therein. The frame includes a front and a rear frame portion generally oppositely extending along a longitudinal axis. The first and second frame portions are pivotally coupled together to move between an upright configuration and a collapsed configuration. The front and rear frame portions include rocking surfaces that are configured to rock on a support surface in a side-to-side motion transverse to the longitudinal axis, with the infant positioned in the seat in a head-to-foot longitudinal orientation.
Smart workstation method and system
A system and method establishing control of affordances at a workstation. The method includes the steps of storing affordance preferences in a database for a plurality of portable affordance settings that may be present at a workstation, detecting a subset of affordances present within a first zone associated with the workstation, for each detected affordance in the subset, identifying an affordance setting in the database indicating a user preference, and automatically controlling settings of at least each of the detected affordances in the subset to match the user preferences for the detected affordances.
