Digital turret ballistic aiming system

A method of indicating an aiming adjustment in a riflescope of a shooting device. The method includes receiving, at a controller in the riflescope, a ballistics solution signal, the ballistics solution signal corresponding to a path of a projectile to be fired from the shooting device toward a target; receiving, at the controller, a first electronic signal corresponding to a position of an elevation adjustment selector of the riflescope relative to a zero point of the elevation adjustment selector; determining, by the controller, a magnitude and a direction of an aiming adjustment based on at least the first electronic signal and the ballistics solution signal; and activating an electronic indicator to provide a notification signal to a user, the notification signal conveying the magnitude and the direction of the aiming adjustment.

An optical module includes a base, a first optical component and at least two washers. The first optical component is disposed on the base and the first optical component has a flange. The washers are disposed on the first optical component and sandwiched in between the base and the flange. Each of the washers has a first side surface and a second side surface, wherein the first side surface and the second side surface tilt with respect to each other by an angle.

AFOCAL ATTACHMENT FOR A TELESCOPE
20210018733 · 2021-01-21 ·

This disclosure describes an afocal attachment that allows for alteration of received electromagnetic radiation (or light) prior to entry into the telescope. For example, a rifle scope may have a base magnification of 2, and the afocal attachment may allow magnification of a received image at levels ranging from 2 to 4. In this example, the entire telescope system with the afocal attachment installed will have an overall magnification of 4 to 8. In another example, the magnification of the telescope can be increased, transforming a telescope with a 4 magnification into a telescope with a higher effective magnification. In some instances the afocal attachment's optical axis can be configured to permit independent adjustment, allowing for easy removal and reinstallation of the afocal attachment without a need to re-adjust the telescope itself.

A positional adjustment mechanism comprises a movable plate having first and second positioning actuators and a biasing member to bias the plate against the actuators. The movable plate has three flat surfaces facing the actuators and biasing member one of which is not substantially perpendicular to either of the other two. The biasing member ensures that the plate is held in contact with the actuators during adjustment. Also, an adjustable mount comprises a support and a fixed bar extending therefrom, an axially movable bar extending from the support and being axially movable relative thereto, and an element movably mounted to the fixed bar and movably mounted to the movable bar, the first element being selectively fixable relative to the fixed bar and selectively fixable relative to the movable bar. This arrangement allows a great degree of freedom in adjusting the position of the element as it can be selectively fixed to either or both of the fixed bar and movable bar.

Joint structure

A joint structure includes: a plurality of holes open to opposing surfaces of two members that oppose to each other, the holes each being filled with a fluid or powder filler (U) in a state where the holes communicate with each other, such that the two members are relatively fixed by the filler. The holes of the two members each have an inner surface that is wider in cross-sectional direction at a location distant from openings of the holes than at a location close to the openings.
