Catoptric imaging device for drill measuring
A catoptric imaging device for drill measuring comprising a laser guide, an imaging unit for converting optical image into image information, and processing the image information to obtain a drill measure, a catoptric assembly including a first conical surface, and a second surface including a frustoconical surface, wherein the first surface is arranged relative to the laser guide to reflect a cone beam onto an cross section of the drill to be measured, and wherein the smallest diameter of the frustoconical surface is larger than the largest diameter of the first surface to receive the cone beam reflections and reflect them towards the imaging unit, and wherein the imaging unit is arranged to receive an optical image from the frustoconical surface reflections to obtain a drill measure.
Optical device for introducing light from outdoor view
An optical device introduces light from an outdoor view in a blind spot area hidden by an obstacle. The optical device includes a first reflector that reflects a part of light and transmits another part of the light, and a second reflector placed between a back surface of the first reflector and the obstacle and apart from the first reflector. The second reflector has a reflective surface that reflects light incident from the first reflector toward the first reflector. A light shield is placed at a front surface of the first reflector to block external light incident on and reflected from the front surface of the first reflector. The light shield includes light-shielding plates arranged at an interval in a vertical direction such that each light-shielding plate is horizontal. The first reflector is parallel to the reflective surface of the second reflector and tilted from a vertical axis.
COLLIMATED DISPLAY SYSTEM WITH AN EXTENDED VERTICAL FIELD OF VIEW
Systems and methods for providing a simulator with an extended vertical field of view are provided. The simulator has a primary collimated display which is operable to generate a primary image at infinity focus. A secondary collimated display of the simulator is operable to generate a secondary image aligned with a primary image, at least a portion of the secondary image being at infinity focus. When viewed at a designated eye point of the simulator, the primary image and the secondary image form a combined image with a vertical field of view that is substantially continuous and which is at least approximately 80? when measured at the designated eye point. The secondary collimated display has a second collimating mirror positioned proximate to a primary collimating mirror of the primary collimated display such that the combined image is substantially continuous without significant breaks or interruptions at the junction of the primary image and the secondary image.
OPTICAL SYSTEM FOR LASER APPARATUS
An optical system for a laser apparatus includes: a long-short axis reversing module that includes a splitter, a first mirror, and a second mirror positioned in a propagation path of an incident laser beam, where the first mirror includes a first submirror and a second submirror connected to each other at a predetermined angle therebetween. The optical system converts an incident laser beam having an asymmetric energy distribution into an emitted laser beam with a symmetric energy distribution.
Roof mirror and methods for fabricating roof mirror
An apparatus for providing a frameless hollow roof mirror comprises: a first element having a first mirrored surface and a first abutment surface; a second element having a second mirrored surface and a second abutment surface, the first and second elements arranged in a roof mirror configuration wherein the second abutment surface abuts against the first abutment surface and the first and second mirrored surfaces meet at a generally linear junction and are oriented relative to one another at a desired roof mirror angle; and a plurality of fasteners extending through the first and second abutment surfaces. The plurality of fasteners exerts a force to cause the first and second abutment surfaces to bear against each other.
