A storage enclosure of ample size to contain common firearms within, comprising a box with a door attached to the top of the box with articulating hinges, that latches at the bottom of the box. A latch release mechanism at the bottom of the box, with a release bar on the exterior of the bottom of the box, which when pressed inward, releases the latches and allows the door to open unassisted by the user via the force of compression springs. Embodiments of the invention provide a method of mounting an inflatable headboard assembly to a horizontal plane (e.g., a bed) without using a fixed mechanical fastening. The headboard assembly may assume various shapes, sizes, and/or styles while affording easy assembly and storage. The inflatable headboard assembly does not require permanent modification to its surrounding area. Rather, the inflatable headboard assembly is simply inflated to various heights that conform to the existing dimensions of the surrounding environment. A bench for a bed frame having a headboard includes a base frame and a back frame. The base frame includes a seat frame and a leg frame downwardly extended from the seat frame. The back frame is upwardly extended from the seat frame, wherein a shape of the back frame matches with a shape of the headboard of the bed frame. A bed frame includes a backrest, a bedstead and a plurality of connectors to couple the backrest with the bedstead. A connector includes first, second, third and fourth segments, in which each of the second, third, and fourth segments extends from a lower side of the first segment. A person-support apparatus comprises a frame configured to support a person thereon, and an endboard assembly configured to be removably coupled to the frame. Furniture, such as a bed, dresser, cabinetry has a display system affixing a stack of interchangeable decorative panels to the furniture. The display system has an overlaying panelar frame that captures the stack of panels and has at least one elongated fastener securing the overlaying panelar frame on to a surface of the furniture item. The stack of interchangeable panels are each visually different such as having different colors and/or patterns and can be sandwiched between the overlaying panelar frame and the mounting surface in a pocket to immovably maintain the interchangeable panels against the furniture component. The stack of interchangeable panels can be rearranged such that a different panel is placed on top of the stack or the outermost position and thereby be visible through the opening in the overlaying panelar frame.

Described are bed systems having a headboard, backward facing lights positioned at a back side of the headboard, and a controller operably connected to the backward facing lights that can drive the backward facing lights to provide circadian lighting. The backward facing lights can be recessed into the back side of the headboard. The backward facing lights can provide ambient lighting when controlled by the controller. The controller can determine when a user of the bed system is waking up and control the backward facing lights to provide circadian lighting that corresponds to a wakeup routine for the user. The controller can also determine when the user is going to sleep and control the backward facing lights to provide circadian lighting that corresponds to a sleep routine for the user. The backward facing lights can be LED strips positioned inside an extruded channel in the back side of the headboard.

A bed frame assembly has diagonal struts that lock leg supports into place using novel locking mechanisms. A leg support is pivotally attached to the bedboard frame, and a slotted bracket is welded to a cross bar of the frame. One end of a diagonal strut is pivotally attached to the leg support, and a bolt with a conical washer and a wing nut is attached to the other end. The strut is attached to the slotted bracket by inserting the bolt into a curved slot in the bracket. The bracket also includes a stopper brace that extends perpendicular to the body of the bracket. A side of the end of the strut pushes against the stopper brace when the conical washer is pressed into the end of the curved slot and the wing nut is tightened. The stopper brace prevents the bolt from sliding out of the curved slot.
