Methods are also disclosed.
Image processing device, image processing method, and intraocular image processing system
There is provided an image processing device for observing an inside of an eye in a wider range. The image processing device includes an integration processing unit that integrates ophthalmologic images acquired by a plurality of types of ophthalmologic image capturing devices by correlating intraocular positions and generates one integrated image indicating intraocular information in a range wider than a range indicated by each of the ophthalmologic images.
Laser assisted autofocus
An autofocus device is disclosed, including a focusing lens which is movable. A laser beam passes through the focusing lens toward a focal plane; and a detector collects laser scatter from a nonfocal position outside of the focal plane. The device determines, from the collected laser scatter, the nonfocal position of the scattering source, and moves the focusing lens, based on the determined nonfocal position, such that the scattering source is at an origin of the focal plane.
Surgical optical zoom system
Methods and systems for controlling a surgical microscope. Moveable optics of the surgical microscope are controlled using two sets of control parameters, to reduce jitter and image instability. Shifts in the image due to changes in temperature or due to the use of optical filter can also be compensated. Misalignment between the mechanical axis and the optical axis of the surgical microscope can also be corrected.
Surgical microscope with at least one beam path switching device
A surgical microscope for generating an image of an object region includes an eyepiece and an objective conjointly defining a viewing beam path, an image capturing device and a beam path switching device for out-coupling image information. The switching device is switchable between a first switching state wherein light in the viewing beam path is split into a first component along a first beam path to the eyepiece at an intensity IT1 and a second component along a second beam path to the image capturing device at an intensity IT2 and a second switching state wherein the light in the viewing beam path is deflected into the second beam path to the image capturing device at an intensity IU. The switching device includes a beam splitter movable in and out of the viewing beam path and a deflecting element movable into and out of the viewing beam path.
Microscope made with CMOS camera(s)
A medical/surgical microscope with two cameras configured to capture two dimensional images of specimens being observed. The medical/surgical microscope is secured to a control apparatus configured to adjust toe-in of the two cameras to insure the convergence of the images. The medical/surgical microscope includes a computer system with a non-transitory memory apparatus for storing computer program code configured for digitally rendering real-world medical/surgical images. The medical/surgical microscope has an illumination system with controls for focusing and regulating the lighting of a specimen. The medical/surgical microscope is configured for real-time video display with the function of recording and broadcasting simultaneously during surgery.
System and method for viewing a subject
A viewing system or imaging system is disclosed that includes optical pieces for viewing a subject. The viewing system may include features that allow an augmented mixed view through eyepieces of the viewing system. The mixed view may include graphical representations that are acquired or determined with information separate from the viewing system.
Image acquisition system and image acquisition method
An image acquisition system includes: a first narrowband light source that emits first narrowband light for exciting a luminescent agent that exists in an observation target and emits light having a wavelength belonging to a visible light wavelength band; a second narrowband light source that emits second narrowband light in a wavelength band of ±30 nm of a peak light emission wavelength of the luminescent agent; a broadband light source that emits broadband light for illuminating the observation target; a first image sensor on which an image of light in a light emission wavelength band including a wavelength corresponding to light emitted from the luminescent agent is formed; and a second image sensor including one or more image sensors on which an image of light in a wavelength band other than the light emission wavelength band is formed.
VIDEO BASED MICROSCOPE ADJUSTMENT
The present disclosure relates to an optical observation device which is controlled in a sterility preserving manner, and to a corresponding controlling program and/or program storage medium. The optical observation device includes a main structure having at least one optical camera, a support structure adapted to variably position the main structure, and a control unit that receives a sequence of images from the at least one optical camera, searches a current image from the sequence of images for a trackable object, tracks the trackable object shown in the sequence of images subsequent to the current image; and controls adjustable properties of AR-content superimposed with the sequence of images in accordance with a motion of the trackable object, wherein the adjustable properties of the AR-content include a location, orientation, and/or size of the AR-content with respect to the sequence of images.
