Method for producing a digital image, associated computer program product and optical system
The invention relates to an optical system for restoring a natural image combined with a digital image, in order to characterise and highlight the objects represented on the natural image. The optical system includes an objective lens, an eyepiece, a semi-reflective plate, a processing unit, capturing means and restoring means. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a digital image.
Pointing system for manual telescope
An optical device such as a telescope may be oriented to view a subject. In one embodiment, an image capture device may be coupled to the optical device, and used to generate image data of a reference subject. The image data may be used to ascertain a first orientation of the optical device. A second orientation of the optical device, at which the subject is viewable using the optical device, may be ascertained. A rotation of the optical device needed to reorient the optical device from the first orientation to the second orientation may be calculated. Instructions may be outputted to the user, indicating how the user can apply the rotation to the optical device.
Low power indicator circuit for optical scopes and other devices
An apparatus includes one or more light emitting diodes (LEDs) configured to be coupled to a power supply and to generate illumination, such as to generate a reticle in an optical scope. The apparatus also includes a first switch coupled in series with the one or more LEDs. The first switch is configured to selectively activate and deactivate the one or more LEDs based on whether the first switch is turned on or off. The apparatus further includes a low power detector configured to sense a low power condition of the power supply and to repeatedly turn the first switch on and off in response to the low power condition to cause the one or more LEDs to blink. The low power detector is configured to turn the first switch on and off at a given rate, and the given rate increases as the power supply is depleted.
WEAPON SYSTEM WITH MULTI-FUNCTION SINGLE-VIEW SCOPE
Certain aspects of a novel weapon sight system combine a direct view, a visible light video view, and an infrared (IR) video view mode. Each of the view modes may be viewed individually or simultaneously with one or more of the other view modes through a single viewing aperture. Further, the one or more view-modes may be provided while providing a bore-sighted reticle superimposed on the selected view. Further, the reticle may be powered separately from the video view electronics enabling use of the reticle regardless of the power status video view electronics.
VISUAL TARGETING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
A target adjustment apparatus may be provided. The target adjustment apparatus may include an optical targeting device having a first zero. The target adjustment apparatus may further include an optical adjustment lens removably disposed in a line of sight between a target and the optical targeting device. The optical adjustment lens may shift a target image before it reaches the optical targeting device, creating a second zero.

FIXED MAGNIFICATION OPTICAL AIMING DEVICE FOR A FIREARM
The present disclosure is directed to a fixed magnification optical aiming device for a firearm including one or more high efficiency illumination sources alone or in combination with one or more lenses and/or other light collection devices to increase reticle illumination efficiency. The optical aiming device may include one or more internal power supplies, one or more external power supplies, and one or more solar cells.

Endoscope imager and associated method
An endoscope imager includes a system-in-package and a specularly reflective surface. The system-in-package includes (a) a camera module having an imaging lens with an optical axis and (b) an illumination unit. The system-in-package includes (a) a camera module having an imaging lens with an optical axis and (b) an illumination unit configured to emit illumination propagating in a direction away from the imaging lens, the direction having a component parallel to the optical axis. The specularly reflective surface faces the imaging lens and forming an oblique angle with the optical axis, to deflect the illumination toward a scene and deflect light from the scene toward the camera module.
