Magnification devices with filtering and method for selection of said filters

A method for determining filtering capabilities of a magnification device suitable for providing protection from light when viewed through the magnification device is disclosed. The filtering capability of the magnification device is determined based at least one of an input power of the inputted light signal, a magnification level of the magnification device and an orientation of the filtering within the magnification device. Further disclosed is an lighting system that generates a light, which when reflected into the magnification device is prevent from causing damage to a user's eyes based on the selection of the filtering system disclosed herein.

User wearable fluorescence enabled visualization system

A user-wearable fluorescence based visualization system comprising a multi-light lamp assembly that provides for the selected output of light using multiple light emitting sources, wherein the outputted light may be tailored to generate response wavelength by the interaction of the emitted light and a tissue illuminated by the emitted light, through the process of fluorescence, and a viewing system that allows a practitioner view the fluorescent light generated by the tissue, and distinguish between healthy and diseased tissues.

ROTATIONAL ALIGNMENT OF INTERCHANGEABLE LOUPES

Rotational alignment apparatus and methods for interchangeable loupe telescope(s) are provided. Some embodiments include an indexing ring including a projection. The ring is fixed to the telescope upon rotational alignment of the telescope. The alignment may involve use of a laser and test fixture. The projection mates with a corresponding indexing notch of a loupe anchoring device. Loupes may comprise one or more anchor assemblies, and one or more interchangeable telescope assemblies. The interchangeable telescope assemblies are held to the anchor assemblies by magnetic attraction between one or more magnets and/or one or more magnetic components affixed to corresponding surfaces of the corresponding assemblies. Mating of the projection with the notch ensures appropriate relative rotational alignment of the assemblies.

LOUPE-BASED INTRAOPERATIVE FLUORESCENCE IMAGING DEVICE FOR THE GUIDANCE OF TUMOR RESECTION

A device can include glasses including one or more lenses that permit a wearer a broad view of the environment from a first perspective and contact members having one or more contact-surfaces formed to secure the glasses to a head of the wearer while the wearer is wearing the device. The device can include one or more loupes, each loupe including a redirection member structured to redirect image light that is received by the loupe; one or more magnifying members structured to magnify the image light; a viewport structured to allow passage of the magnified image light. The loupe is secured through one of the lenses such that the magnified image light is presented though the viewport to an eye of the wearer while the wearer is wearing the device.

An operation dial is disposed so as to swing between two barrels. The operation dial has a plurality of finger gripping portions that protrudes so as to be inclined with respect to the two barrels. The operation dial is urged by a torsion coil spring to a state in which the two finger gripping portions have the same tilt angle with respect to the two barrels. A reception member is pushed by rotation of the operation dial in one direction and rotation of the operation dial in the other direction due to a swing operation for the finger gripping portions. A switch main body is opened or closed by the pushing of the reception member.
