An accessory for use with a phone or tablet computer. The accessory connects to the phone, either by enveloping the phone with a case-like element or clipping to the side of the phone with a clip. A hinged lens covers at least a portion of the screen and pivotally connects to the connection portion. This lens can be tilted up from the screen to increase the effective prescription of the lens, enlarging the text and images on the screen of the phone, or can be tilted back down towards the screen to reduce the effect.

The locating element includes a fixing element, an elastic element and a locating sleeve, wherein the locating sleeve is placed to penetrate through the main body and the locating hole and against an outer surface of the inner sleeve, the fixing element is disposed on the adjusting ring, and the elastic element includes a first end placed against the fixing element and a second end placed against an interior of the locating sleeve.

At least two zoom lenses in the first optical system shift along an optical axis between a first and a second position to change magnification. The method includes shifting at least one lens in the first optical system such that a distance at which the object is focused when the zoom lenses are shifted to the first position is substantially equal to a distance at which the object is focused when the zoom lenses are shifted to the second position; and then shifting at least one lens in the second optical system along the optical axis such that the object is focused when the zoom lenses are shifted to the first position or the second position.

Lens barrel includes: a rotating barrel which holds a first optical system and includes an adjustment member that can protrude from an inner circumferential surface; and a fixed barrel which holds a second optical system and includes a helical groove with which the adjustment member engages on an outer circumferential surface. Part of the adjustment member is in the helical groove in any of the first position and the second position. When in the first position, the adjustment member can slide along the helical groove, so the rotating barrel helically rotates relative to the fixed barrel, and when in the second position, the adjustment member is in contact with the helical groove, to prevent rotation of the rotating barrel with respect to the fixed barrel.
