Optical Arrangements Including Fresnel Lens Elements
20190227305 · 2019-07-25 ·

An optical lens arrangement comprises a first Fresnel lens element and a second lens element, The first Fresnel lens element defines a flat surface side and an opposite faceted surface side defining wedge and draft faces. The flat surface side faces towards the eye of a user and the opposite faceted surface side faces away from the eye of the user. The second lens element interfaces with the faceted surface side of first Fresnel lens. The second lens element is selected from the group consisting of: a second Fresnel lens element, a singlet lens element, a doublet lens element and any combination thereof. The first Fresnel lens is proximal relative to the eye of the user and the second lens element is distal relative to the eye of the user. Head mounted devices (HMD) including these optical lens arrangements are provided. Methods of making such optical lens arrangements and HMDs are also provided.

Lens barrel and loupe

Lens barrel includes: a rotating barrel which holds a first optical system and includes an adjustment member that can protrude from an inner circumferential surface; and a fixed barrel which holds a second optical system and includes a helical groove with which the adjustment member engages on an outer circumferential surface. The adjustment member can be located in a first or a second position with respect to the helical groove. Part of the adjustment member is in the helical groove in any of the first position and the second position. When in the first position, the adjustment member can slide along the helical groove, so the rotating barrel helically rotates relative to the fixed barrel, and when in the second position, the adjustment member is in contact with the helical groove, to prevent rotation of the rotating barrel with respect to the fixed barrel.

MULTIPURPOSE MEDICAL ILLUMINATOR WITH MAGNIFICATION
20190201156 · 2019-07-04 ·

The disclosure demonstrates a multipurpose illuminator used in medical examinations. The multipurpose illuminator device herein employs a housing incorporating two magnification viewing lenses each having different powered magnification that allows medical practitioners to view patient tissue and structures using two different magnifications. A battery power source is also contained in the housing to provide power to an illumination source. The illumination source may include an array of LEDs to provide light for viewing the patient tissue and matter. The illumination source and the lenses may be cross polarized relative to each other to provide enhanced viewing of the patient tissues and structures. A switch is provided to initiate the LED illumination source or to provide modes of operation that provide certain of the LEDs being illuminated.

Ring-shaped visual aid
12019234 · 2024-06-25 ·

The device of the current invention is a ring-shaped optical visual aid consisting of a handle that carries one or more lenses. Such lens or lenses are attached along the circumference of the ring handle. The optical axis of the lens or lenses is located in or near the geometric plane that contains the main plain of the ring. As such the lens or lenses can be placed anywhere around the ring to perform in a synergistic fashion to optimize visual utility. When only one lens is placed on the ring, the shape of such ring can also be manipulated to allow for optimal use through alterations to structural details of that ring. Unlike most existing visual aids, the ring-shaped handle described in the current invention can be conveniently worn on a finger indefinitely.

Telescopic image capture/recording device

A telescopic/image capture device that allows for the concurrent viewing and capturing an image of an object, wherein the captured image is magnified to the same level than that of the viewed image. Further included are filters incorporated into the device to allow for the attenuation of light in undesired wavelengths while allowing light in desired wavelengths to pass unattenuated. In still a further aspect of the invention, a second telescopic lens is incorporated into the path of light to be captured by the image capture device, wherein the image captured and recorded is of a greater magnification than that of the user viewable image.

Magnification device and assembly

A magnification device including a housing having a distal open end and a proximal open end is disclosed. The housing includes an optical system including one or more objective lenses adjacent the distal open end, and one or more eye lenses adjacent the proximal open end, the optical system produced a desired level of magnification; and a filtering system having first filter selectively filtering a first group of wavelengths and a second filter selective filtering a second group of wavelengths. The first and second filters having an optical density selected based on a magnification level of the optical system. A vision enhancing assembly including a carrier device and one or more magnification devices coupled to the carrier device is also disclosed, wherein the magnification devices include filters that have optical densities based on a magnification level.

A ring that is molded of a single piece of thin optical lens configured with one opening for a finger, for quickly and easily viewing magnified objects, with little effort. Its one material body makes it simple to use, strong and is easily worn at all times. Furthermore, multiple pieces of different lens magnification types and strengths can be sandwiched and aligned together on the same finger, creating a multi use viewing piece, equivalent to reading glasses, magnifying lens, a microscope and a telescope.

Loupe mounting position determination method in binocular loupe device, and system

In assembling a binocular loupe device, a loupe of the binocular loupe device is attached to an appropriate position at a correct angle according to a pupil position of a user in a near vision state. A rectangular, transparent measurement assisting plate fixed to a frame before attachment of a loupe is worn by a user, and the face of the user in a near vision state is photographed by a camera from a work object point P to obtain a first image. The first image is subjected to arithmetic processing by a computer to measure, on the first image, coordinate positions of respective four vertexes of the measurement assisting plate and coordinate positions of respective left and right pupils of the user in the near vision state, and determines the loupe attachment position and/or loupe attachment angle on a plane of the plate member from the measured coordinate positions.
