Head mounted display and information processing method
Methods and apparatus providing a head-mounted display to be worn by the user and presenting a video to the user through the head-mounted display; measuring outside world information via an outside world measurement section of the head mounted display; detecting, via a notification information detection section, whether or not the information measured by the outside world measurement section contains any notification information to be notified to the user, including that the notification information detection section detects at least one reference position, which is set by the user as notification information; and notifying the user, via a notification section, when the notification information detection section detects notification information by way of displaying a video of the at least one reference position to the user in the head-mounted display.
Display system with integrated depth detection
A display system comprises a light source assembly, a display assembly, a camera assembly, and a controller. The light source assembly is configured to generate visible light and infrared light. The display assembly is configured to generate image light using the visible light and to generate tracking light using the infrared light. The tracking light and the image light pass through a beam splitter prior to being projected into a local area. The camera assembly is configured to capture one or more images of the local area illuminated with the tracking light. The images are illuminated with the tracking light that passes through the beam splitter prior to be being captured by the camera assembly. The controller is configured to calculate depth information for objects in the local area using the one or more images.
Linked display system and head-mounted display
In a linked display system in which wireless communication connection between a first information device and a second information device has been established, when the first information device transmits text data to the second information device in a state of displaying content containing the text data and image data, the second information device displays the text data while the first information device stops displaying the text data and enlarges and displays the image data.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE PANE HAVING POLARISATION-SELECTIVE COATING
A method for producing a composite pane suitable as a projection surface of a projection assembly, wherein (a) a polarisation-selective coating is provided on a carrier film; (b) the polarisation-selective coating is transferred from the carrier film onto a laminating film, by (i) arranging the carrier film and the laminating film areally one atop the other with the coating positioned therebetween to form a film stack, (ii) treating the film stack for at least 2 hours at a pressure of at least 8 bar and a temperature of 80 C. to 120 C. in an autoclave, and (iii) peeling the carrier film off the laminating film, with the coating remaining on the laminating film; (c) the laminating film is arranged areally between a first pane and a second pane; and (d) the first pane is laminated with the second pane via the laminating film to form the composite pane.
CUSHION ASSEMBLY FOR HEAD-MOUNTED DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A method of manufacturing a cushion assembly for a head-mounted device is provided. The method includes molding a foam material to provide a first panel with a first layer having a three-dimensional configuration defined therein. The method further includes arranging a second panel and a third panel with respect to the first panel such that the first panel is disposed between the second panel and the third panel. The method further includes molding the first panel, the second panel and the panel layer together to form a single piece laminate. The method further includes trimming the single piece laminate to form the cushion assembly adapted to conform to a face of a wearer of the head-mounted device.
HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
Methods and apparatus provide for processing information for a head-mounted display for blocking out an outside world from a user's vision when worn by the user to present a video, by carrying out actions comprising: measuring outside world information; detecting whether or not the measured information contains any notification information to be notified to the user, including detection of moving objects as notification information; and notifying the user when notification information is detected.
Head-Mounted Display System
A headset display system may comprise a head mounted display and a remote host device. The head mounted display may comprise a microdisplay and sensing components. The remote host device may communicate with the head mounted display, and formulate a task requirement based on information associated with a user of the headset display system. The remote host device may further search for and identify one or more wireless resources currently available to the remote host device, determine which of the identified wireless resources are suitable for satisfying the task requirement, and utilize the determined wireless resources to accomplish a task corresponding to the task requirement. The wireless resources may comprise at least one entity, external to the headset display system, that (i) generates a physical informational parameter, (ii) generates a process result, (iii) performs a data processing task, and/or (iv) accesses a communication and/or information storage resource.
VR HEADSET AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VR HEADSET
A VR headset and a method for controlling a VR headset are provided. The VR headset comprises a wakeup/sleep control circuit, at least one pressure sensor and at least one distance sensor, the pressure sensor and the distance sensor each being electrically connected with the wakeup/sleep control circuit, wherein the pressure sensor is provided at an upper frame and/or a lower frame of the VR headset, and the distance sensor is provided at an inner side of the VR headset, the inner side of the VR headset referring to a side of the VR headset that is adjacent to a face of a user wearing the VR headset. The VR headset provides a hardware basis for an automatic wakeup/sleep control of the VR headset.
POSITIONING, STABILISING AND INTERFACING STRUCTURES AND SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
A head-mounted display system includes a head-mounted display unit a display that, in use, is held in an operational position over a user's face. The head-mounted display system further comprises a flow generator configured to generate a flow of air, and an air guide arrangement coupled to the flow generator to enable the flow generator to direct air to, or draw air from, one or more selected areas in proximity of the head-mounted display system.
