POSITIONING, STABILISING AND INTERFACING STRUCTURES AND SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
A head-mounted display system includes a head-mounted display unit a display that, in use, is held in an operational position over a user's face. The head-mounted display system further comprises a flow generator configured to generate a flow of air, and an air guide arrangement coupled to the flow generator to enable the flow generator to direct air to, or draw air from, one or more selected areas in proximity of the head-mounted display system.
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicle display device includes a light source module, a light splitting element, first and second polarization reflection modules. The light source module provides a first light beam having a first polarization state and a second light beam having a second polarization state. The light splitting element reflects the first light beam and allows the second light beam to pass through. The first polarization reflection module reflects the first light beam to the light splitting element and converts the first polarization state into the second polarization state. The second polarization reflection module reflects the first and second light beam and convert the second polarization states into third polarization states. The first and second light beam from the second polarization reflection module form a far-field virtual image and a near-field virtual image through the imaging element.
Electronic Devices With Optical Assembly Positioning Systems
A head-mounted device may include optical assemblies for presenting images to a user. Optical assembly positioning systems may be used to adjust the spacing between the optical assemblies to accommodate different interpupillary distances. The optical assembly positioning systems may have motors and threaded shafts rotated by the motors. Rotation of the shafts moves the optical assemblies along guide rods. The shafts may be protected by dust covers. Slots may be formed in the dust covers so that protruding portions of nuts on the threaded shafts can engage the optical assemblies. In some arrangements, the threaded shafts may be mounted within the guide rods and guide rod slots may be provided in the guide rods so that threaded portions of the optical assemblies can reach the shafts. Dust covers can be provided for the guide rod slots. Wipers may be provided to clean guide rod surfaces.
Head mounted display and information processing method
Methods and apparatus provide for processing information for a head-mounted display for blocking out an outside world from a user's vision when worn by the user to present a video, by carrying out actions comprising: measuring outside world information; detecting whether or not the measured information contains any notification information to be notified to the user, including detection of moving objects as notification information; and notifying the user when notification information is detected.
Linked display system and head-mounted display
In a linked display system in which wireless communication connection between a first information device and a second information device has been established, when the first information device transmits text data to the second information device in a state of displaying content containing the text data and image data, the second information device displays the text data while the first information device stops displaying the text data and enlarges and displays the image data.
Selective laser etching of layered fluidistors
A method includes separately exposing selected portions of a first rigid substrate and a second rigid substrate to laser radiation, selectively etching the exposed portions of the first rigid substrate and the second rigid substrate using a chemical etchant and bonding the first rigid substrate to the second rigid substrate along a common interface to form a fluidic valve. The fluidic valve may be coupled to a fluidic haptics device, for example, which may be integrated into an artificial reality system.
Eyewear surface temperature evaluation
A method and apparatus for monitoring a surface temperature of eyewear proximate a processor to understand the surface temperature as a function of computer instructions, such as when the computer instructions are modified during software design. A sensor is coupled to the eyewear proximate the processor, such as at a temple of the eyewear including the processor, using one or more layers of tape. A server provides instructions to the processor for execution, such as instructions of an application, which instructions vary the utilization of the processor. A testing device, such as a digital multi-meter, is coupled to the sensor, as well as the server, and displays the surface temperature as a function of the processor utilization. The surface temperature of the eyewear is monitored to ensure the surface temperature does not exceed a temperature threshold.
HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY
The present application provides a head-mounted display, including a display device comprising a display body and two support arms extending from opposite ends of the display body, a headphone device comprising two headphone bodies, and two connection mechanisms connected to the two support arms respectively and rotatably connected to the two headphone bodies respectively. A head-mounted bracket is connected to the two connection mechanisms via two connection portions. Each connection mechanism includes a first rotation member for connecting a support arm to a corresponding headphone body and a second rotation member rotatably connected to the first rotation member and connected to a corresponding connection portion, respectively. The display device is driven to rotate relative to the head-mounted bracket under the first rotation member rotating relative to the second rotation member, which enables the display device to be folded together with the head-mounted bracket to improve portability of the product.
HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
Methods and apparatus provide for processing information for a head-mounted display for blocking out an outside world from a user's vision when worn by the user to present a video, by carrying out actions comprising: measuring outside world information related to a boundary of an area within which user movement is acceptable; presenting, at a user interface, the outside world information; detecting, based on the outside world information, a change to the boundary; generating, based on the change, notification information about at least one of the boundary or the user movement relative to the boundary; and presenting, at the user interface or a different user interface, the notification information as a notification.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING COUNTERBALANCE
Wearable electronic devices including counterbalances for adjusting balance points thereof and methods of using the same are disclosed. In an example, head-mountable electronic device includes a display unit, a securement band connected to the display unit, an overhead band including a first end secured to the securement band and a second end secured to the securement band, and a counterbalance connected to the securement band between the first end and the second end. A distance between the counterbalance and the first end can be adjustable.
