Customized viewing system for an optical device
Disclosed is an attachment for a standalone optical device to alleviate back and neck strain which allows the eyes of the user relative to the eyepieces of the optical device, with embodiments allowing inclusion of preset values such as shape and dimension of the user's face, eye relief distance, pupillary distance. Movement of the eyes is achieved either by a mechanical pivot or by stretching of the mask being comprised of flexible material.
Prism Device
The present disclosure relates to a prism device, comprising a prism assembly, and a holder connected to the prism assembly. The holder comprises a first end and a second end oppositely arranged, and the second end is connected to the prism assembly, the first end is used to provide a support point for the holder, and the second end is movable relative to the first end to adjust a spatial position of the prism assembly relative to the support point. It is not required to wear the prism assembly on the nose bridge by mean of using a holder to support the prism device, which reduces the weight on the wearer's nose bridge and relieve the discomfort caused by wearing objects. In addition, when the visual field changes with the movement of the head, it will not cause dizziness to the user.
Handwriting support device
A handwriting support device includes a half mirror; an image display surface; a writing surface, a virtual image of an image displayed on the image display surface being projected on the writing surface. In a case where a real object is inserted onto the writing surface, the image display control unit causes a non-display processed image to be displayed on the image display surface, the non-display processed image being obtained by at least a partial region, of a region of the first image corresponding to a vertically projected region of the real object on the writing surface, being subjected to non-display processing. In the handwriting support device, an image, which is a virtual image of the non-display processed image in which at least a part of an inside of the vertically projected region of the real object is non-displayed, is projected onto the writing surface.
Imaging device
There is provided an imaging device, the imaging device including: a support structure configured to be mountable on a head of a user; an optical filter having a reflection surface that reflects predetermined light having a predetermined wavelength band and allows visible light to pass; and at least one first imaging unit configured to acquire a first image including at least a part of a face of the user on the basis of the predetermined light reflected by the reflection surface.
Device for mixed reality
A device for mixed reality includes a base, a curved mirror, a first holder, and a second holder. The curved mirror has a concave surface, a convex surface opposite to the concave surface, and a light transmissive medium between the concave surface and the convex surface. The first holder is disposed on the base, disposed in front of the concave surface and within a focal length of the curved mirror, and configured to support a portable apparatus to be oriented at an angle. The second holder is disposed on the base and supports the curved mirror to face the portable apparatus.
Head-Mounted Display Apparatus for Retaining a Portable Electronic Device with Display
Head-mounted display systems and methods of operation that allow users to couple and decouple a portable electronic device such as a handheld portable electronic device with a separate head-mounted device (e.g., temporarily integrates the separate devices into a single unit) are disclosed. The portable electronic may be physically coupled to the head-mounted device such that the portable electronic device can be worn on the user's head. The portable electronic device may be operatively coupled to the head-mounted device such that the portable electronic device and head mounted device can communicate and operate with one another. Each device may be allowed to extend its features and/or services to the other device for the purpose of enhancing, increasing and/or eliminating redundant functions between the head-mounted device and the portable electronic device.
GLASS-INCLUSIVE SAMPLE VIEWER, AND/OR ASSOCIATED METHODS
Certain example embodiments relate to a box or other viewer that accommodates one or more glass-inclusive samples and that is usable in a plurality of different configurations to facilitate evaluation of the sample(s) from indoor and outdoor viewing perspectives. The sample viewer is convertible between a transportation configuration and the indoor and outdoor viewing perspective configurations. For example, certain example embodiments may be used as glass-inclusive sample shipping and storage containers that transform into miniature mockup walls with little manual effort and with little risk of human viewers looking at glass the wrong way (e.g., a manner that would lead to a false impression of the visual aesthetic of the sample(s) therein). The glass-inclusive sample(s) may include one or more uncoated or coated glass sheets, insulated glass (IG) units, vacuum insulated glass (VIG) units, laminated products, and/or the like.
Foldable virtual reality viewer structure integrated in mailer and/or product packaging
A new method of constructing a convertible virtual reality viewer on planar surface when in an unfolded state, or out of a box-type structure is described. Through its design of structural folds, the planar surface(s) can be configured into any shape such as, but not limited to, a package, box, container, mailer, and flyer of any material. Users of such a viewer download a software application onto a smart device and use this display apparatus to view a virtual image through a face plate, containing a pair of biconvex lenses. A viewer fashioned as such provides an environmental solution to reusing resources and limiting product waste by reusing product packaging as a virtual reality viewer with multiple uses. The planar surface(s) are intended for use as product packaging and/or mailer designed to be converted into a virtual reality viewer by the user.
Sign and display systems
Sign and display systems including a faceplate, lens, backing plate, and at least one magnet are described. In some embodiments, the faceplate includes a viewing aperture and the back of the faceplate includes a recess in which the at least one magnet is mounted. The recess in the faceplate is configured to receive the lens and backing plate. In some embodiments, the faceplate includes two recesses in the back surface, where the first level recess is configured to receive a backing plate and the second lower level recess is configured to receive the lens. The at least one magnet can be mounted in either a first recessed surface of the first level recess or the backing plate. When the lens and backing plate are positioned in the faceplate, the one or more magnets exert a force to secure the faceplate, lens, and backing plate together.

Head-mounted display systems and methods of operation that allow users to couple and decouple a portable electronic device such as a handheld portable electronic device with a separate head-mounted device (e.g., temporarily integrates the separate devices into a single unit) are disclosed.
