In another particular embodiment, the foot support device includes sidewalls and a backwall that can flatten and pivot relative to one another, facilitating a collapsible foot support device.

The present invention introduces a non-contacting or tent-like comforter, which has one or more air gaps between parts of the user's body and the comforter portions right above said parts of the user's body when the comforter is in use, and at least part of the weight of the comforter body is not directly supported by the user or the bed. The invention also introduces a process that creates one or more air gaps between parts of the user's body and the comforter portions right above said parts of the user's body, and at least part of the weight of the comforter body is not directly supported by the user or the bed.

An adjustable bedding (18) cover height and lengthwise positioning apparatus (30). A base (32) is configured for positioning between a bed frame (12) and an adjacent mattress (14). At least one riser (36, 38) allows adjustment of the height and lengthwise positioning of bedding with respect to the mattress. A connecting section (34), connected between the base and the risers optionally allows rotation of the risers with respect to the base. A clip (34) is connected to the at least one riser and secures the bedding to the apparatus. An optional top support (40) provides a support width for the bedding which is preferably at least as broad as the width between a user's feet when the user is sleeping on his or her back. An optional friction strip (39) on the base prevents slippage of the apparatus.

Provided herein is a blanket elevating device, including a telescoping spinal handle assembly, a structural support portion attached to the telescoping spinal handle assembly, the structural support portion for elevating a blanket above a surface of a bed; and an anchor portion connected to the telescoping spinal handle assembly, wherein the blanket elevating device is actuatable between a collapsed position and an expanded position by the telescoping handle assembly.

A blanket lifting apparatus for raising bedding above the feet of a person lying on a bed includes a threaded rod rotatably coupled to a bottom wall of a framework, the rod extending upwardly to an opposed distal end. A primary lift panel is operatively coupled to the rod and moved vertically when the rod is actuated to rotate. Spring clips are mounted to a top wall of the primary lift panel for selectively retaining the bedding such that the bedding is moved vertically according to movement of the primary lift panel. An auxiliary lift panel is pivotally coupled to the top wall, the auxiliary lift panel being movable between a stowed configuration generally parallel to the primary lift panel and a deployed configuration extending away from the primary lift panel in the direction of the bed.

A blanket tunnel assembly includes a frame that has a plurality of arched members strategically arranged such that the frame defines a tunnel. The frame can be positioned on a support surface having the frame extending over a user's legs when the user is either lying on the support surface or sitting on the support surface. The frame is elongated to extend over a full length of the user's legs when the frame is positioned over the user's legs. A blanket is positionable over the frame to cover the user's legs. The blanket is supported by the frame to inhibit the user from feeling the weight of the blanket while still facilitating the user to be warmed by the blanket.
