THERMOELECTRIC STRING, PANEL, AND COVERS FOR FUNCTION AND DURABILITY
A thermoelectric device comprising an elongated panel of two foam layers, and having an inserted thermoelectric string is incorporated into a seat cushion, planting pot, and battery thermal manager. Several enhancements to the string and the panel improve its durability, visual appeal, and tactile appeal over the prior art.
Adaptive sleep system using data analytics and learning techniques to improve individual sleep conditions based on a therapy profile
A bed integrates sensors and other inputs to detect specific sleep environment conditions including point-specific pressure and/or temperature conditions. The bed includes a controller for commanding actuator or other devices to adjust these conditions. The controller may do so based on reference patterns for conditions and profiles of desired conditions. Information regarding the conditions may be provided to a remote computer, which may analyze the conditions and provide revised profiles of desired conditions.
TOPPER WITH TARGETED FLUID FLOW DISTRIBUTION
A topper (38) for a bed extends in longitudinal and lateral directions and includes a fluid flowpath (60) for channeling fluid through the topper from an inlet (62) to an outlet (64). The flowpath is configured to distribute the fluid to a preferred target region (50) of the topper. A bed which includes the topper has a blower (72) connected to the topper inlet for supplying air (88) to the flowpath.
Sleep phase dependent pressure control and learning methods to optimize sleep quality
A bed includes components to control pressure of a sleep surface, for example based on sleep position and sleep stages of a user. In some embodiments target pressures for the sleep surface are iteratively adjusted over multiple sleep sessions so to achieve improvements in sleep states and/or sleep quality for the user.
UNIVERSAL AIR SURFACE
A universal air surface may include a plurality of inflatable air chambers disposed in parallel arrangement with each other, wherein a first side wall and a second side wall of the plurality of inflatable air chambers are asymmetrically to each other about a central axis of the plurality of inflatable air chambers to accommodate a manifold routed adjacent to a first lower end wall of the plurality of inflatable air chambers. A first void is formed between the first lower end wall of the plurality of inflatable air chambers, a bed frame, and a first side rail. A second void is formed between the second lower end wall, the bed frame, and a second side rail; wherein a first cross sectional area of the first void is greater than a second cross sectional area of the second void. Methods of routing the manifold within the first void are disclosed.
Capsule pod sleeping chamber
A capsule pod sleeping chamber with a ceiling and walls adjacent to the ceiling sealing an interior space to prevent a mixture of air between the interior space and a communal space exterior to the portable enclosure. The capsule pod sleeping chamber has first duct to route supply air into the interior space from a first area that is separated from the communal space and a second duct to route exhaust air out from the interior space to a second area separated from the communal space. Lastly, the capsule pod sleeping chamber has a plurality of apertures located in at least one wall of the plurality of walls that include the first aperture opening into the first duct and the second aperture opening into the second duct.
Multi-zone temperature modulation system for bed or blanket
A temperature modulation system for a bed, blanket, or other furniture includes a fluid for moderating temperature change, a number of conduit circuits for directing the fluid through respective zones, a control unit including a thermoelectric device for modulating temperature of the fluid, and a pump. Each of the conduit circuits selectively and independently directs fluid through its respective zone in order to produce a temperature within the zone that is independent of the temperature outside the zone. The system also includes an arrangement of one or more zones in an arrangement in which the control unit is programmed to vary the zone temperature over time according to a schedule.
Inclined and vented mattress assembly
An inclined and vented mattress assembly for elevating an upper body of a user includes a block that comprises foamed elastomer so that the block is resiliently compressible. The block is wedge shaped so that a first end of the block is dimensionally thicker than a second end of the block. The block has a base that is sized complementarily to a bed frame so that the block is configured to be positioned upon the bed frame. A set of channels that is positioned in the block extends between at least two openings that are positioned in the block. The set of channels is configured to vent the block to cool the block and a user positioned thereupon. The block being wedge shaped elevates the upper body of the use, promoting relaxation and restful sleep.
THREE DIMENSIONAL MATTRESS SYSTEM
A three dimensional mattress system is provided which may be configured to provide three dimensional body support to a user. In some embodiments, the system may include a rigid frame, and a frame cavity, in which the frame cavity is open at its highest elevation. A plurality of pillows may be contained within the frame cavity. At least a portion of the plurality of pillows may be coverless, and at least a portion of the pillows in the plurality of pillows are not physically attached to one another and are substantially independent of one another such that they can move freely within the frame cavity. The plurality of pillows may form a first body support area for supporting a first portion of the user, and a support unit may form a second body support area for supporting a second portion of the user.
Dryer for bed
A dryer for a bed includes an air blowing device provided at a front portion or a rear portion of a frame and supplying hot air, so that a mattress may be easily dried or articles kept in a drawer may be easily dried.
