EYEGLASSES
The invention relates to eyeglasses having two lens units that are fitted with a device for keeping the eyeglasses on a wearer's head. The eyeglasses having a nose bridge that connects the two lens units and includes a central portion to be disposed about the wearer's nose At least one of the lens units has a duct inside to which a lateral portion of the nose bridge is slidingly mounted using a mechanism for adjusting the position of the lens unit relative to the nose bridge. The adjusting mechanism has a member that is rotatably mounted in the duct. The member and the lateral portion of the nose bridge comprise a coupler designed to convert the rotation of the member into a relative translational movement between the lateral portion and the duct.
BIFOCAL GLASSES-SHAPED FRAME
A glasses frame includes: a pair of lens-holding frames each holding vertically arranged lenses; a bridge coupling the lens-holding frames in height at the center; a temple; an inverting unit provided on an outside and in height at the center of each of the lens-holding frames and configured to invert the temple; and nose pads provided correspondingly one-to-one to both ends of the bridge and supporting the bridge while being in contact with a nose even when the lens-holding frames are inverted, in which the temple includes a bent portion.
Nosepiece for head-mountable device
A head-mountable device can include a nosepiece that distributes forces away from a top of the nose to the sides of the nose. The nose contact elements of such nosepieces can be slideably and/or rotationally biased to apply forces to the sides of the nose when the head-mountable device is worn by a user. Such distribution allows forces to be spread across a greater area, which improves overall comfort, positioning, and light sealing of the head-mountable device.
HEADWORN SUPPORTS HAVING DYNAMIC VENTING SYSTEMS
Eyewear is disclosed that can have multiple ventilation states providing different amounts of ventilation through the eyewear. The eyewear can include a lens and a frame. In some embodiments, the lens and/or frame can be moved with respect to the user to provide the multiple ventilation states. In some embodiments, the eyewear can include a nosepiece which is movable from at least a first configuration to a second configuration to provide the multiple ventilation states.
GLASSES WITH WEARING CUSHION DEVICE
A pair of glasses with a wearing cushion device comprises a main body, an inflatable cushion system, an air pump, a switch element, a control unit and an air channel. The inflatable cushion system comprises two supporting cushions and two buffer cushions. When the switch element is turned on, the switch element issues an enabling signal to the control unit and the control unit enables the air pump in response to the enabling signal. When the air pump is enabled, an ambient gas is transferred to the two supporting cushions and the two buffer cushions through the air channel. The two supporting cushions and the two buffer cushions are inflated with the gas and expanded, so as to fit closely on the ears of the user by the two buffer cushions, and fit closely on the bridge of the nose of the user by the supporting cushions.
Nosepiece for eyeglass frames
Nosepiece for eyeglass frames, which comprises a plate, an appendage projecting from the plate and comprising a convex portion, and a cup which is fixed to the frame of eyeglasses, is provided with two opposite lateral walls joined together by a connection wall, and houses the appendage. A screw is provided, engaged in first through holes of the cup, having the shank placed to traverse a second through hole of the appendage, the latter being susceptible of rotating with respect to the cup around a first longitudinal axis with the surface of its convex portion in contact and in sliding-with-friction relation with the internal surface of the connection wall of the cup, in order to maintain the plate in the angular position reached around the first longitudinal axis.
Frame support member and frame support assembly for over-the-glasses (OTG) eyewear
There is provided a frame support member for eyewear having a frame, with the frame including a nose bridge. The frame support member includes an attachment portion at a first end thereof for coupling the frame support member to the nose bridge of the eyewear, and a nose engaging portion at a second end thereof. The frame support member is configured to position the nose engaging portion below and behind the nose bridge for supporting the eyewear on a user. There is also provided eyewear that includes a frame for supporting at least one lens, a nose bridge for supporting the frame on a user, and the frame support member as herein described. A frame support assembly is also provided, which includes the frame support member and an extender to be coupled to the eyewear frame.
CUSTOM FIT NOSE PADS FOR SPECTACLE FRAMES
An adjustable nosepiece assembly for a set of eyeglass frames having a bridge portion between lenses comprises a nosepiece component configured for coupling to the bridge portion of the eyeglass frames, the nosepiece component being adapted for resting on a wearer's nose when wearing the eyeglass frames, and a plurality of spacer components configured for placement between the nosepiece component and the bridge portion of the eyeglass frames to adjust the distance between the nosepiece component and the bridge portion of the eyeglass frames. The nosepiece component may be an inverted-V shape with two angled, bendable leg portions. The spacer components may facilitate adjustment of the distance between the nosepiece component and the bridge portion of the eyeglass frames in a range of 1 mm to 1.5 cm or more.
Slip-resistant eyewear system
A slip-resistant eyewear system comprising an eyewear frame generally comprises a nosepiece comprising a nosepiece material configured to couple to a bridge of an eyewear frame. The frame comprises first and second hinges coupled to the eyewear frame which are also coupled to first and second spring-loaded tension adjusters. First and second bows are coupled to first and second tension adjusters. A first bow extension element is coupled to the first bow and comprises a first fastening element at a first end of the first bow extension element and a second bow extension element is coupled to the second bow and comprises a second fastening element at a first end of the second bow extension element that is configured to mate with the first fastening element to secure the first and second bow extension elements together.
Foldable eyeglasses and case
An eyewear system including eyeglasses and a case, the eyeglasses having a first lens, a second lens, and a bendable bridge disposed between the first lens and second lens, the bendable bridge having a spring providing a spring force when the bridge is bent from a rest position, the eyeglasses being adapted to move from a wearable configuration in which the first and second lens do not overlap to a stored configuration in which the first and second lenses at least partially overlap, the bendable bridge being bent from its rest position in the stored configuration, the case having an opening through which the eyeglasses pass during insertion and guides sized and configured with respect to the eyeglasses to engage and fold the eyeglasses against spring force of the bridge to the stored configuration during insertion of the eyeglasses through the opening and into the case.
