Eyewear head grips
Secure eyewear includes a face piece and a temple piece. The face piece includes a first side, a second side and a nose rest therebetween. The temple piece extends from a first end coupled with the first side and/or the second side of the face piece to a second end and includes a first extension. The first extension is configured to, with the nose rest supported by a nose of a user and the first temple piece resting on a first ear of the user, selectively grip a back of a head of the user by transitioning between states.
Interchangeable Eyewear
The present invention relates to a kit for creating personalized eyewear, such as eyeglasses, sunglasses and the like, that allow the user to alternate temples components, ear supports, lenses, etc. with a frame to create eyewear having different colors and/or styles. Each of the frame, the left and the right ear supports, the left and the right temple components, and the lenses connect to one another by one of a magnet, a clip, a snap, a clasp, a screw, an interference fit, and an interlocking frictional connector.
Spectacles with bio-sensors
Spectacles are provided with sensors for detecting biometric data when worn and when in contact with the head of the user. The spectacles include a frame having a front mount for supporting respective lenses, a nose support device and a pair of arms articulated on the front mount on laterally opposite sides, each of the arms extending longitudinally between a first end and a second, opposite end, close to which an end portion of the arm can make contact with the head at the ear. Each arm extends from the second end to a section of the arm made of flexible material that can support an auricular sensor, and the section of the arm can move, on account of its flexibility, between an operative position and a non-operative position, in which the sensor supported by the section of the arm is removably retained on the end portion of the arm.
Glasses comprising biosensors
Glasses that are provided with biosensors for detecting signals and are in contact with the user's head are described, which glasses comprise a front frame (2) for supporting respective lenses (4), a pair of sides (6) articulated to the frame on laterally opposing sides, and a nasal-bearing device (8), each of the sides (6) extending in a longitudinal extension direction and comprising a side body (6a) extending into an end side portion (6b) in which a particular sensor (25) that makes contact with the head is integrated, and in which the end side portion (6b) comprises a pair of branches (26a, 26b), which extend from a common end (27), which is connected to the side body (6a), in the longitudinal extension direction of the side (6) in a manner spaced apart from one another, one (26a) of the branches being provided with an internal cavity (29) for housing a core (30) made of a conductive metal material and both the branches (26a, 26b) being made of a resiliently pliable and electrically conductive material.
MOISTURE-RESISTANT EYE WEAR
Eyewear including an optical functional member, control electronics, and a sealed electrical connective element connecting the electronics to the optical functional member. The connective element can directly connect the electronics to the optical functional member, or can connect through an intermediate contact, e.g., a plug-and-receptacle. The connective element can be routed from the electronics, around a rimlock of the eyewear to the optical functional member. The connective element can be a conductive compressible member, such as conductive rubber. In some embodiments, the connective element can be a multiconductor cable.
ADHESIVELY ATTACHED EYE MASKS
An adhesively attached eye mask includes a transparent or semi-transparent plastic eyepiece for positioning over a user's eyes and an integral elongated transparent plastic temple or tab extending rearward from each side edge of the eyepiece for contacting the sides of a user's face. A peripheral edge of the eyepiece can include an adhesive. A face mask can be connected to a lower edge of the eye mask for covering the user's nose and mouth. A peripheral edge of the face mask can include an adhesive. A flexible loop or band can be positioned at each side of the face mask.
In ear device customization using machine learning
A design system generates a design for an in-ear device customized for a user. The in-ear device produces audio content for the user. The design system captures anthropometric data of the user. Using machine learning techniques, the design system determines features of an ear of the user from the anthropometric and generates a three dimensional (3D) geometry of the user's ear. A design for the in-ear device is generated based on the 3D geometry of the user's ear and includes a shell configured to fit in at least a portion of an ear canal of the user.
INTELLIGENT ACTUATED TEMPLE TIPS
Systems and methods herein describe an actuator control system for controlling intelligent actuated temple tips of a pair of eyeglasses. The actuator control system receives a set of measurements corresponding to a length of eyeglass temple tips on a pair of eyeglasses, receives, from a user of the pair of eyeglasses, user feedback corresponding to a position of the eyeglass temple tips, generating a predicted set of measurements for the length of the eyeglass temple tips using a machine learning model, and transmits the predicted set of measurements to pneumatic actuators coupled to the eyeglass temple tips.
ADAPTOR SYSTEM FOR EYEWEAR AND COCHLEAR IMPLANTS
An adaptor system to facilitate use of eyewear with an audio processor for a cochlear hearing implant. The system includes an audio processor adaptor configured to mount to the audio processor and an eyewear adaptor configured to mount to the eyewear. The audio processor adaptor and the eyewear adaptor can be selectively connected to join the eyewear and the audio processor. The audio processor adaptor may include an ear hook portion that allows the audio processor to be worn over a wearer's ear even when separated from the eyewear. The adaptor system may be provided as a kit including a plurality of audio processor adaptors configured to mount to different audio processors and/or a plurality of eyewear adaptors configured to mount to different eyewear. The adaptors may include universal connectors that allow any audio processor adaptor to be interconnected with any eyewear adaptor.
Eyewear and temple unit for eyewear
A temple unit for an eyewear includes two temples each including pivotally connected front and rear segments. The front and rear segments respectively include adjacent rear and front ends. One of the front and rear ends is formed with a protruding portion, and the other one of the front and rear ends is formed with a recess portion. The protruding portion has at least three non-coplanar first flat surfaces defining two convex corner sections. Any two adjacent ones of the first flat surfaces are connected to each other to define one of the convex corner sections. The recess portion has at least two non-coplanar second flat surfaces connected to each other to define a concave corner section engaging a selected one of the convex corner sections so as to position the rear segment relative to the front segment.
