Provided is a pair of smart glasses. The smart glasses include a front frame, and legs rotatably connected to the front frame through a rotating module. A heat conducting structure is housed in the rotating module. The beat conducting structure includes an upper flange and a lower flange that are closely fitted in an up and down direction and rotatable relative to each other. The upper flange is connected to a front frame heat pipe provided in the front frame, and the lower flange is connected to a leg heat pipe provided in the legs and rotates with the leg heat pipe.

Example embodiments relate to methods of integrating an electronic device into an eyeglass frame, and electronic glasses. One example set of electronic glasses is configured to be provided with at least one electro-optical component formed by an electro-active lens. The electronic glasses include an eyeglass frame that includes a first temple and a second temple, which include a first front temple part and a second front temple part, respectively. The electronic glasses also include a front part. The front part includes a left eyepiece for a left electro-active lens, a right eyepiece for a right electro-active lens, a bridge connecting the left and right eyepieces, and a groove. In addition, the electronic glasses include an electronic device. The electronic glasses further include a flexible cable arranged in the groove. Additionally, the electronic glasses include closure measures that include a sealing element.

A hinge mechanism for eyeglasses which enables replacement of the temples from a lens frame without the need for any pins or tools, and without small or weak parts. The hinge mechanism between each of the temples and the lens frame includes a male component which fits into a female component and may be adjusted in two ways. The torque required to assemble the temples to the lens frame can be adjusted, as well as the torque required to transition the temples from the folded to the unfolded position. Both adjustments may be affected by the choice of materials of one or both of the hinge components. The male component may be on the end of each of the temples and sized to fit within the female component on either end of the lens frame. Rotating the temples 90° snaps them into place, and they can easily be removed by the reverse operation.

SMART GLASSES APPARATUS AND SMART HINGE ASSEMBLY

The present invention provides a smart glasses apparatus and a smart hinge assembly thereof. The smart glasses apparatus further includes first and two second components. Different second components have different types of interfaces. The smart hinge assembly includes at least two smart hinges which are different in interface types and used in an alternative manner. Each smart hinge includes a first end for hinging with the first component and a second end for plugging with the second component. The second ends of different smart hinges are equipped with connectors of different interface types, the interface types of the connectors match with the interface types of the second components. The smart hinges are hinged to the first component in an alternative manner, and the second components plug with the smart hinges in an alternative manner. The first component is electrically connected to the second components through the smart hinges.

Hinge feed antenna of eyewear

Apparatuses, methods, and systems for a hinge feed antenna of eyewear, are disclosed. One apparatus includes a front frame, a temple arm, and a hinge rotatably connecting the front frame and the temple arm. For an embodiment, the temple arm includes a circuit assembly including at least a radio that supports wireless communication. For an embodiment, the front frame includes one or more antennas traces, wherein the hinge conductively connects the circuit assembly to the one or more antenna traces, and wherein the hinge in combination with the one or more antenna traces form one or more antennas for supporting the wireless communication.

Eyewear having removable temples that support electrical components

Techniques for providing eyewear with electrical components are disclosed. The electrical components can provide electrical technology to eyewear without having to substantially compromise aesthetic design principles of the eyewear. The electrical components can be partially or completely internal to eyewear, such as within an extended endpiece or a removable temple (or temple part). The electrical components can also be attached to the eyewear as an after-market enhancement. The electrical components can operate independently or together with other electrical components provided elsewhere. Apparatus for presenting after-market electrical components are also disclosed.
