Hinge for electronic spectacles

Eyewear including an optical functional member, control electronics, and a sealed electrical connective element connecting the electronics to the optical functional member. The connective element can directly connect the electronics to the optical functional member, or can connect through an intermediate contact, e.g., a plug-and-receptacle. The connective element can be routed from the electronics, around a rimlock of the eyewear to the optical functional member. The connective element can be a conductive compressible member, such as conductive rubber. In some embodiments, the connective element can be a multiconductor cable.

Frame for spectacles

A frame for spectacles includes a frontal framework with lateral lugs for articulation of arms and means of articulation between each lug and the corresponding arm. The articulation means include a flexible member, structurally independent of the lug and the arm, the flexible member being held on the arm and coupled rotatably, the end of each arm, facing the corresponding lug, shaped in such a manner that the arm, in its movement about the hinge pin, is flexibly constrained towards preselected angular positions relative to the frontal framework. The frame also includes a respective distance element interposed between each arm and the corresponding flexible member, and said distance element is mounted on the arm in an adjustable manner in order to impose, at the level of said distance member, a preselected distance between the arm and the flexible member, and to regulate a flexible pre-load exerted on the flexible member.

An electronic frame including: a surface element configured to house at least one lens; at least one sidepiece having an end that is connected to the surface element by a hinge having a hinge axis; a conductor configured to bend and that extends between the surface element and the at least one sidepiece in the region of the hinge; at least one body positioned between the surface element and an end of the at least one sidepiece, the body being movably mounted in the electronic frames and including a through-opening to allow the conductor to pass through.

Conductive connection through eyewear hinge

An eyewear device provides for routing a flexible conductive element or conductor through a hollow interior of a hinge mechanism that connects a temple of the eyewear device to its. The hinge mechanism comprises a pair of hinge pieces that defines a composite conduit through the hinge mechanism, conduit and hence the conductor routed through the passage being hidden or obscured from external view in any operational position of the hinge mechanism.

Embodiments of eyeglasses are provided. The glasses comprise a frame comprising a first and second lens connected by a bridge. Temple pieces extend from either side of the frame. The hinge or hinge point between the temple pieces and the frame can be within the plane of the glasses allowing the temple pieces to fold flat or near flat against the frame. The thickness of the glasses can be less than about 3.5 mm (e.g., 2.6 mm) in a folded configuration.

Spectacles

A pair of spectacles including a lens arrangement having two lateral temple arm bearing arrangements. Each temple arm bearing arrangement has a first hinge lug having a first bearing opening and a second hinge lug having a second bearing opening, and at least one locking member insertion opening configured in the first or second hinge lug. The spectacles additionally comprise two temple arms, which respectively have a temple arm main body, and a bearing pin integrally connected thereto, which bearing pin, in the assembled state, is pivotably connected to the first and second bearing opening of the respective temple arm bearing arrangement. Each temple arm further has at least one locking member, which, in the assembled state, is arranged between the hinge lugs of the respective temple arm bearing arrangement and, in a pivot position, lockingly holds together this temple arm and the lens arrangement.
