DIFFRACTIVE CONTACT LENSES
The invention provides a delamination-resistant embedded silicone hydrogel contact lens having an insert that is embedded in a silicone hydrogel bulk material. The insert is made of a crosslinked polymeric material having a refractive index higher than that of the silicone hydrogel bulk material by at least 0.07 and comprises a diffractive structure disposed on one of the front and back curve surfaces of the insert for providing a diffractive power that contributes to the overall optical power of the contact lens.
Ophthalmic lenses for treating myopia
Eyeglasses are disclosed that include eyeglass frames and a pair of ophthalmic lenses mounted in the frames. The lenses include a dot pattern distributed across each lens, the dot pattern including an array of dots spaced apart by a distance of 1 mm or less, each dot having a maximum dimension of 0.3 mm or less, the dot pattern including a clear aperture free of dots having a maximum dimension of more than 1 mm, the clear aperture being aligned with a viewing axis of a wearer of the pair of eyeglasses.

Unique patterns extracted from involuntary eye motions to identify individuals
A method for user authentication is disclosed including capturing involuntary eye movement of an eyeball of a user; generating a unique pattern to identify the user in response to the involuntary eye movement; storing the unique pattern into a secured non-volatile memory device; and authenticating the user with an electronic device in response to the stored unique pattern.

Method and apparatus for image spacing
A method and apparatus is disclosed for artificially creating space within a lens such that, when an image is projected from the lens onto the retina of the user, the image appears to be positioned further away than it actually is. This is accomplished by embedding a series of projection tubes on the perimeter of a lens adapted to project an image inward toward the retina of the user. The projection tubes will provide artificial spacing and cause the projected image to seem distant or otherwise positioned further away, creating a more realistic viewpoint for the user.

Multifocal contact lens displaying improved vision attributes
Described are multifocal contact lenses that contain high energy visible (HEV) light absorbing compounds and their use for improving one or more vision attributes.
Tuneable Ophthalmic Lens
The present disclosure concerns a tuneable ophthalmic lens 200. The tuneable ophthalmic lens comprises an activated state and a deactivated state. The ophthalmic lens further comprises a central chamber 206b. The ophthalmic lens also comprises a fluid reservoir, the fluid reservoir being in fluid communication with the central chamber. The fluid reservoir comprises a pump for pumping fluid between the fluid reservoir and the central chamber. In the deactivated state the central chamber is substantially empty of fluid 208a. In the activated state the central chamber is not substantially empty of fluid.
