OPTICAL FILTER WITH LIGHT SOURCE
An apparatus comprising a switchable optical filter comprising a layer of switchable material, the switchable material comprising a photochromic/thermochromic, a photochromic/photochromic, or a photochromic/electrochromic compound; a first light source providing light of a wavelength that causes the switchable material to transition from a faded state to a dark state, or a dark state to a faded state; and a switch for controlling activation of the first light source
Eyewear Lens with Mirror Pattern Having Variable Opacity
The present invention relates to dichromic mirrored patterns on fashion eyewear that exhibits variable opacity on the exterior of a photochromic lens in response to changing lighting conditions wherein the pattern can go from virtually transparent to opaque. The dichromic mirror pattern(s) can be coated in multi-color pattern sections and can be coated so that some pattern sections ave variable opacity and other pattern sections have a fixed high opacity. The effect can also be produced on an optical film to be applied to many optical surfaces.
POLYMERIZABLE COMPOSITION FOR OPTICAL ARTICLE, OPTICAL ARTICLE AND EYEGLASSES
Provided is a polymerizable composition for an optical article including a photochromic compound, an acyclic methacrylate having a molecular weight of 500 or more (a component A), and a bifunctional (meth)acrylate containing a structure selected from the group consisting of a cyclic structure and a branch structure (component B).
System and apparatus for see-through display panels
Various embodiments of the present invention provide for systems and apparatus directed toward using a contact lens and deflection optics to process display information and non-display information. In one embodiment of the invention, a display panel assembly is provided, comprising: a transparent substrate that permits light to pass through substantially undistorted; a reflector disposed on the transparent substrate; and a display panel aimed toward the reflector and substantially away from a human visual system, wherein the reflector reflects light emitted from the display panel toward the human visual system. The reflector may comprise a narrow band reflector or a polarization reflector.
EYEWEAR WITH SELECTIVE WAVELENGTH FILTERING
Embodiments comprise an eyewear having a lens, the lens having an optical filter. A transmittance spectral profile of the optical filter comprises a transmission valley having a minimum transmittance with a spectral bandwidth, wherein the minimum transmittance of the transmittance valley is positioned at a first wavelength from about 450 nm to about 475 nm; and the spectral bandwidth, equal to the full width of the transmittance valley at the minimum transmittance plus 30%, is less than or equal to about 30 nm.
CONTACT LENS AND CONTACT LENS PRODUCT
A contact lens includes at least one color changeable region, wherein the color changeable region includes at least one photoluminescence material. When a wavelength of the photoluminescence material having a maximum radiation intensity is WEmMx, an average transmittance in a wavelength range of 400 nm-700 nm of the color changeable region is T4070, a size of a total area of the color changeable region is AC, and a size of a total area of the contact lens is AL, certain conditions relating to WEmMx, T4070 and AC/AL are satisfied.
MOISTURE CURABLE POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION AND LAMINATE
Provided is a moisture curable polyurethane composition that is a moisture curable polyurethane having an isocyanate group on one end of a molecule thereof. The moisture curable polyurethane composition contains a moisture curable polyurethane (A) and an organic solvent (B). The moisture curable polyurethane (A) is obtainable by reacting a polyisocyanate compound having at least two isocyanate groups in a molecule thereof (A1) with a low-molecular weight polyol compound having at least two hydroxyl groups in a molecule thereof and having a number average molecular weight of 50-300 (A2). Also provided is a laminate including an optical substrate and a polyurethane resin layer comprising the moisture curable polyurethane composition.
COMBINED FAST-SWITCH TINTABLE VISOR
A visor for a helmet is disclosed. The visor includes a first lens member, which includes a first transparent shield configured with a photochromic layer. The photochromic layer is configured to adjust a first transmission state of a first viewing area of the first lens member based on the transmission of ambient light through the first viewing area. The visor also includes a second lens member that includes an electrochromic layer. The electrochromic layer is configured to adjust the transmission of ambient light through a second viewing area upon an application of a voltage to the electrochromic layer. The visor also includes a controller configured to adjust a voltage applied to the electrochromic layer, and an attachment element coupled to the first lens member configured to attach to a headgear.
OPHTHALMIC LENS HAVING A HOLOGRAPHIC MIRROR ON A LOW-BIREFRINGENCE BASE LENS
An ophthalmic lens and a method of manufacturing the ophthalmic lens, the ophthalmic lens including a base lens that includes at least a layer of low-birefringence material and at least one holographic component recorded on a surface of the layer of low-birefringence material, and an auxiliary lens assembled to the base lens.
