The scanning line is opposed to the semiconductor layer. The first insulating layer is provided above the semiconductor layer. The signal line and the pedestal are connected to the semiconductor layer through first and second contact holes in the first insulating layer. The second insulating layer is provided above the pedestal. The pixel electrode is connected to the pedestal through a third contact hole in the second insulating layer. The signal line and the pedestal are provided in layers different from each other.

The present application provides a liquid crystal display screen and a liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal display includes a first substrate and a second substrate that are arranged oppositely. The slit angles of the slits of at least part of the pixel electrodes on the first substrate are set not equal to 45 degrees. The slit angles ranging from 0 degrees to 39.99 degrees can alleviate light leakage of the liquid crystal display in the dark state at a horizontal viewing angle. The slit angles ranging from 50.01 degrees to 90 degrees can alleviate light leakage of the liquid crystal display in the dark state at the vertical viewing angle.

The present invention provides a pixel electrode and a liquid crystal display panel. A first side electrode and a second side electrode are respectively connected to both ends of a first trunk electrode, and a third side electrode and a fourth side electrode are respectively disposed on sides of the first side electrode and the second side electrode away from a branch electrode. Each of the first side electrode and the second side electrode is provided with a notch at a junction with the first trunk electrode, and the two notches are respectively disposed on the sides of the first side electrode and the second side electrode away from the branch electrode, which can relieve dark lines at pixel boundaries.

A flat panel display having an improved picture quality is disclosed. In one embodiment, a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode are formed in each subpixel area. The electrodes enclose an open space (gap) such that their outer boundary has a substantially rectangular shape. The flat panel display may also include a capacitance electrode coupled to the second pixel electrode to form a coupling capacitor. In use, the coupling capacitor operates such that a magnitude of a voltage applied to the first pixel electrode is lower than an applied data voltage, and a magnitude of a voltage applied to the second pixel electrode is higher than an applied voltage. The different voltages operate such that a tilt direction of LC molecules disposed above the first pixel electrode differs from a tilt direction of LC molecules disposed above the second pixel electrode.
