The present disclosure provides a backlight source module including a backplate; a bottom reflective sheet, a light guide plate and an optical sheet which are stacked on the backplate in that order; and a frame disposed at peripheral edges of the backplate for holding the bottom reflective sheet, the light guide plate and the optical sheet on the backplate. The backlight source module further includes a gap adjusting element configured to adjust a gap between the optical sheet and the frame in a direction perpendicular to the backplate.

Methods for reducing ripple effect and improving impact absorption in a display device are also described.
OPTICAL MODULATOR
An optical modulator includes an optical modulation element that is accommodated in a housing. A plurality of lead pins, which are electrically connected to the optical modulation element through wire bonding, are fixed to a lateral wall of the housing. Each of the plurality of lead pins includes a portion that protrudes into an inner space (inner surface side) of the housing. A resonance suppressing structure (for example, a concave portion), which is configured to suppress resonance between the lead pins, is provided in a lateral wall portion to which the plurality of lead pins are fixed.

The light source module includes: a light source configured to emit light periodically by power of a power source periodically applied so as to adjust an intensity of the light, a light source board electrically connectable with the light source, the light source board configured to be periodically moved at least partially closer to the rear chassis based on the power of the power source periodically applied to the light source, and a sound-absorbing layer positioned on the light source board so as to reduce noise caused by the light source board and the rear chassis.
