BIAXIAL RESONANT MICROELECTROMECHANICAL MIRROR STRUCTURE WITH PIEZOELECTRIC ACTUATION HAVING IMPROVED CHARACTERISTICS
A microelectromechanical (MEMS) structure includes a fixed frame internally defining a cavity, and a mobile mass suspended in the cavity and movable with a first resonant rotational mode about a first rotation axis and with a second resonant rotational mode about a second rotation axis orthogonal to the first. A pair of supporting elements extends in the cavity, is rigidly coupled to the fixed frame, and is elastically deformable to cause rotation of the mobile mass about the first rotation axis. A pair of elastic-coupling elements is elastically coupled between the mobile mass and the first pair of supporting elements. Each of the elastic-coupling elements includes a first and second elastic portions, the first elastic portion being compliant to torsion about the second rotation axis. The second elastic portion is compliant to bending outside of a horizontal plane of main extension of the MEMS structure.

A light source apparatus includes a plurality of light emitting apparatuses. Each of the light emitting apparatuses includes a plurality of light emitting devices each of which has a light emitting area and a non-light emitting area on an emission surface thereof that emits light. At least two light emitting apparatuses of the light emitting apparatuses constitute a light emitting apparatus group disposed such that the emission surfaces of the respective light emitting apparatuses are parallel to each other with a predetermined distance, and that a distance between light emitting areas of the respective light emitting apparatuses when viewed along a direction perpendicular to the emission surfaces of the at least two of the light emitting apparatuses is shorter than a distance between the light emitting areas of the respective light emitting apparatuses when the emission surfaces of the respective light emitting apparatuses are on the same plane.
COOLING SUB-ASSEMBLY
A cooling sub-assembly for cooling a heat dissipating electronic device. The sub-assembly may include a vapor chamber, a peltier element and a coldplate placed on top of each other forming a stack such that the peltier element is sandwiched between the vapor chamber and the coldplate. The vapor chamber has a head facing the peltier element, a foot for facing the heat dissipating electronic device, and a wall extending between the foot and the head. The area of the head is larger than the area of the foot.
SCANNING LASER PROJECTOR SYSTEM UTILIZING PHOTODIODES INSIDE SCAN AREA BUT OUTSIDE OF PROJECTION AREA FOR FEEDBACK
A scanning laser projector includes an optical module with a housing defined by a top surface, a bottom surface, and sidewalls extending between the top surface and bottom surface to define an interior compartment within the housing. A given one of the sidewalls has an exit window defined therein. A first light detector is positioned at an interior surface of the given one of the sidewalls about a periphery of the exit window. A second light detector positioned at the interior surface of the given one of the sidewalls about the periphery of the exit window and on a different side thereof than the first light detector.
VOLUMETRIC DISPLAY
A volumetric display capable of high-speed image presentation includes a resonance-type liquid lens having a focal length that is periodically adjusted using resonance of a liquid. An image projector projects an image toward a viewpoint position of a user via the resonance-type liquid lens. Further, the image projector projects an image toward the viewpoint position within a shorter time period than one-tenth of a variation cycle of the focal length. The image projector includes an LED and a DMD, for example.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A MULTI-PRIMARY WIDE GAMUT COLOR SYSTEM
Systems and methods for a multi-primary color system for display. A multi-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. One embodiment of the multi-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.
