Supple member with adjustable stiffness for lying and/or sitting furniture
The invention relates to a supple member with adjustable stiffness for lying and/or sitting furniture. This member includes one or more adjustable helical springs and a rotary part. The rotary part includes a hub able to rotate about the central axis and one or more elastically flexible fingers. Each finger extends from a first end secured to the hub of the rotary part, over an arc of circle about the central axis, to a second end, and cooperates with a corresponding end of one or more of the adjustable helical springs.
Height-adjustable supple member
The invention relates to a height-adjustable supple member for lying and/or sitting furniture, including one or more adjustable springs and a rotary part. Each adjustable spring is configured to change in height along a central axis under the effect of a radial stress relative to the central axis. The rotary part includes one or more rails each extending over an angular sector about the central axis, in a plane perpendicular to the central axis, from a first end to a second end more distant from the central axis than the first end. Each rail cooperates, in the radial direction relative to the central axis, with a corresponding adjustable spring among the one or more adjustable. The rotary part is able to rotate, about the central axis, so as to exert, through each rail, said radial stress on the corresponding adjustable spring.
Sleeper detection and configuration of sleep environments and learning methods to optimize sleep quality
A bed includes environmental control components, which may be temperature control components and pressure adjustment components in some embodiments. The environmental control components may be configured to provide different sleep environments based on identity of sleepers using or expected to use the bed. A controller may determine a number of sleepers for the bed, identify the sleepers, and determine if there is an expectation of later arrival of sleeper in determining a configuration for the environmental control components in providing a sleep environment for the bed.
DEVICE FOR CREATION OF PLURALITY OF ADJUSTABLE ACOUSTIC AND/OR THERMAL ZONES IN A BED
This invention is a device which creates adjustable acoustic and/or thermal zones in a bed to address sleep issues such as bed partner snoring and hot flashes. Adjustable acoustic bed zones can be created with a flexible movable partition which longitudinally spans a bed from an arch at the head of the bed to an arch at the foot of the bed. Adjustable thermal bed zones can be created with inflow and outflow flexible longitudinal air tubes which are inserted into a space between layers of bedding.
ADJUSTABLE FIRMNESS DEVICE AND RELAXATION FURNITURE THAT COMPRISES SAID DEVICE
An adjustable force device for relaxation furniture that comprises a multitude of resilient elements and at least one rigid base element on which the resilient elements rest, in such a way that the resilient elements are intended to compress when receiving pressure and return to their original shape when this pressure is removed, in which at least some of the resilient elements comprise: a head component on the upper part of the resilient element; a means for transmitting tension applied to the head component,
the means for transmitting tension to an actuating device of the means for transmitting tension being connected in such a way that the action of the actuating device causes the connected resilient element or elements to compress via the respective means for transmitting tension.
Adjustable sleeping system with massage function
Adjustable sleeping system with massage function. At least one example embodiment is a method of operating a sleeping system, the method including massaging a person residing on a sleeping surface of the sleeping system, the massaging by driving a plurality of adjustable spring assemblies, the plurality of adjustable spring assemblies part of an array of adjustable spring assemblies arranged such that a top of each adjustable spring assembly defines an upper surface parallel to the sleeping surface.
FURNITURE DEVICE FOR A PIECE OF FURNITURE
The invention relates to a furniture device (100) for an item of furniture, wherein the furniture device (100) comprises; a frame device (110); a suspension device (130) which is designed to be coupled to the frame device (110); a frame spring device (120) which is designed to cause a first spring effect between the frame device (110) and the suspension device (130); and a suspension spring device (140) which is designed to cause a second spring effect on the suspension device (130).
PIECE OF FURNITURE FOR SITTING OR LYING DOWN ON
The present invention relates to a piece of furniture (100) for sitting or lying down on, comprising a frame (110) and a base (130) for a mattress or a seat cushion. The base (130) spans a horizontal surface area and has a thickness which extends in the vertical direction. The base (130) is resiliently coupled with the frame (110). The invention is characterized by the provision of a guide element (150) which ensures that a vertically downwardly directed external force applied to the base (130) results in the base (130) being moved in a guided manner vertically downwards relative to the frame (110).
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING THE FIRMNESS AND PROFILE OF A MATTRESS ASSEMBLY
In systems and methods for adjusting the firmness of a mattress assembly and/or modulating the pressure in a mattress assembly, a mattress assembly includes: a two-dimensional array of bladders; at least one pump that is in fluid communication with the bladders to provide air and/or fluid to the bladders; multiple valves that are interposed between the pump and the bladders to control the flow of air and/or fluid to or from the bladders; a pressure sensor operably connected to one or more of the bladders; and a controller in communication with the pump, the valves, and the pressure sensors. The controller is configured to selectively actuate the pump and one or more of the valves, while receiving feedback from the pressure sensors, in order to adjust the firmness of the mattress assembly and/or modulate the pressure in the mattress assembly.
