MULILAYERED, ADJUSTABLE MATTRESS SYSTEM WITH ORBITAL SPRINGS
A multilayered, adjustable mattress system with orbital springs comprised of a removeable, fire resistant cover for enclosing the top of the mattress, a zipper having a predetermined zipper track along the bottom of the mattress, wherein the zipper can unzip the removable cover in both directions, a top foam cover, and an open box, rectangular, mattress encasement divided into two head sections, two body sections, and two feet sections. The layers of the mattress include multiple foam layers of varying compressibility, and a rubber spring deck, where the orbital springs are arranged in a honeycomb pattern. Additionally, the layers of the mattress can be interchanged vertically and horizontally within the mattress sections.
SUPPORTING MODULE FOR AN ADAPTIVE SLEEP SYSTEM, AND ADAPTIVE SLEEP SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a supporting module (100) for use in an adaptive sleep system and to a sleep system comprising such supporting modules, the resistance (resilience) of which can be adapted in a simple manner to the anatomy and/or posture of a user. The supporting module (100) for an adaptive sleep system comprises an uppermost supporting element (110), at least two drive shafts (140, 140), at least two leaf springs (130, 130) positioned parallel to one another, each leaf spring (130, 130) including a first and a second end, each first end being connected to the first supporting element, and each second end being in contact with an adjacent drive shaft (140, 140) via a coupling element (150), wherein the position of the second end of a leaf spring (130, 130) with respect to the adjacent drive shaft (140, 140) determines the deformation resistance of this leaf spring (130, 130), and wherein the coupling element (150) has been configured to transmit the rotational motion of at least one drive shaft (140, 140) to the leaf spring (130, 130), in order to modify the position of the second end of the leaf spring (130, 130) with respect to the adjacent drive shaft (140, 140).
Pocketed spring assembly comprising strings of springs having non-linear separating seams
A bedding or seating product comprises a pocketed spring assembly comprising a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. The strings of springs may extend from head-to-foot or side-to-side of the product. Adjacent individually pocketed springs are separated from each other by at least one separating seam. Each of the separating seams comprises a branched end portion.
Spring element, spring and mattress
A spring element (1) having a pair of sleeves formed of two sleeves (5, 7) is disclosed. Each sleeve (5, 7) of the pair of sleeves is formed of a closed band. The two oppositely disposed sleeves (5, 7) are connected to each other by a connecting piece (9) at one point of their circumference, respectively. On each sleeve (5, 7), a projection (11a, 11b) directed towards the opposite sleeve (7, 5) is provided, spaced apart from the connecting piece (9). In this way, a receiving space (13) defined by the connecting piece (9) and the projections (11a, 11b) is formed between the sleeves (5, 7). A spring comprises a rod-shaped central bar (21) and such a spring element (1). The spring element (1) is slid onto the central bar (21) such that a portion of the central bar (21) is held in the receiving space (13) of the spring element (1) and can be removed without damage from the receiving space (13) of the spring element (1). This spring is provided for a mattress for lying and/or seating means comprising a mattress body made of a material movable in itself, particularly foam or latex, having hollow spaces arranged transversely to a longitudinal axis or a lateral axis. A spring is provided in at least one hollow space.
SPRING POCKET, SPRING CUSHION, FURNITURE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SPRING POCKET
A spring pocket includes a conical spring having a large-diameter end and a small-diameter end opposite to the large diameter end, and a flexible bag. The flexible bag includes an outer layer and an inner layer joined at the large-diameter end and the small-diameter end to encapsulate the conical spring in the flexible bag. The sheets for producing the flexible bag are produced in a single step. Even though the sheets have a large machining tolerance, since the two sheets are identical, they may still match each other and can be easily overlapped and joined.
BREATHABLE CUSHION
A breathable cushion in accordance with the present disclosure includes a frame arranged inside a cover. The frame defines an internal void, and apertures are formed through a lattice of the frame. The apertures and internal void allow airflow through the frame.
CUSHIONS INCLUDING ONE OR MORE REINFORCED PORTIONS AND RELATED METHODS
A cushion may include a cushioning element. The cushioning element may comprise an elastomeric material and one or more reinforcing features positioned at one or more exterior portions of the cushioning element.
Wooden spring and mattress manufactured with wooden springs
Described are wooden coil springs, including those made of non-compressed wood, and mattresses with such coil springs. Also described is a method of producing a coil spring made of non-compressed wood, which includes winding a slat on reel, steaming and drying to produce the wooden coil spring. Such a coil spring may have a cylindrical shape, a cone shape or a truncated cone shape, and may have a substantially perpendicular end turn with respect to the longitudinal axis of the coil spring.
FURNITURE CONSTRUCTION WITH ELASTIC OR SPRING MODULES
Furniture is assembled from elastic modules enabling rapid and convenient assembly and disassembly. The elastic module has a spring, an outer covering layer, and an end member attached to an end face of the outer covering layer. A mattress includes a plurality of individual spring assemblies (145), with each spring assembly including at least one spring (134) and a spring cap (144, 150, 161, 164, 171, 184, 194, 204). Each spring cap has at least one first attachment fitting (168, 178, 174, 186, 196) and at least one second attachment fitting (169, 180, 176, 187) with each first attachment fitting engageable into or onto and removable from a second attachment fitting of an adjoining spring cap. The spring assemblies are attached to each other via the first and second attachment fittings, forming the individual spring assemblies into a spring core. A top pad is positioned on top of the spring core. The mattress can be quickly dis-assembled and stored in a compact space by removing the top pad and separating the spring assemblies from each other.
