A case for portable electronic devices including smartphones includes a feature to prevent glare from a flash from affecting images and video captured by a camera lens and also a battery to extend battery life of the electronic device. Smartphones have telephony, Internet connectivity, and camera and video features. Photos and video can be uploaded through the Internet or sent to other phones. The case has a hole for a camera flash of the smartphone to pass through. The edging of the hole is colored black or another dark color to prevent glare from appearing in the photos or video taken by the smartphone when using the camera flash.

MOBILE DEVICE

A mobile device including: at least an imaging element; and a light-emitting device that irradiates a subject in accordance with imaging of the imaging element, in which the light-emitting device includes a semiconductor light-emitting element, and the difference of the normalized spectral power distribution at a wavelength of 580 nm and a value B representing a difference between normalized spectral power distributions in a wavelength range from 540 nm to 610 nm and a wavelength range from 610 nm to 680 nm are appropriate values. By providing a wavelength control element, it is possible to improve the color reproducibility and the like of a captured image. The mobile device achieves both sensitivity improvement and color reproducibility in a trade-off relationship.

AUXILIARY APPARATUS FOR A DIGITAL IMAGING DEVICE
20190238741 · 2019-08-01 ·

An apparatus for a digital imaging device includes a housing, a controller within the housing, and at least one illumination element in communication with the controller. The controller is configured to control at least one of an intensity and/or volume of light emitted by the at least one illumination element in dependence upon a distance of the apparatus from a target surface.

Full-spectrum flash for electronic devices

Introduced here are light sources for flash photography configured to produce high-fidelity white light that is tunable over a broader range of correlated color temperatures (CCTs) than conventional flash technologies. The light source can include multiple independently controllable color channels representing illuminants (e.g., light-emitting diodes) of different colors with varying degrees of saturation. Operating collectively, the multiple color channels can produce a high spectral quality white light corresponding to different CCTs (e.g., warm white light having a red hue, cool white light having a blue hue). Operating independently, these same color channels can be pre-flashed in a variety of prescribed sequences to probe the spectral characteristics of a scene, thereby allowing for an enhanced, spectrally matched white flash as well as collecting per-pixel reflectivity data that can be later used in during post processing of the captured image.

VARIABLE FIELD OF VIEW TEST PLATFORM

A system is provided for testing a flash emitter is disclosed. The system may include a mounting panel comprising a plurality of mount points at a center point and at positions that correspond to vertices of at least two different field-of-view configurations. The system may include a device holder separated from the mounting panel by a predetermined distance of a platform. The system may include an adjustment rack coupled to the device holder and the platform, the adjustment rack configured to change a position of the device holder relative to the center point of the mounting panel such that the flash emitter of a device in the device holder is aligned the center point of the mounting panel.
