20170195634 · 2017-07-06 ·

An aircraft (11) includes an enclosure and a system for surveilling areas of interest inside the enclosure. The enclosure includes a transverse aisle (13) and a longitudinal aisle (15) that intersect at an intersection zone (19), a first access door (14) being located at one end of the transverse aisle (13) and a second access door (22) being located at one end of the longitudinal aisle. In addition, the surveillance system includes a panoramic camera (17) with a panoramic field of view, the camera being positioned at the intersection zone (19) such that an area of interest associated with the first access door (14) and an area of interest associated with the second access door is located within the field of view of the panoramic camera.

ENCLOSURE DEVICE
20170184943 · 2017-06-29 ·

In one embodiment of an enclosure device, a camera casing and light source casing are secured to a plate frame, and the enclosure device is configured to be mounted to an arm, such as a robotic welding arm. A shutter mounting arm may also be secured to the plate frame. A flap may be pivotally mounted to the distal end of the shutter mounting arm, such that the flap may be actuated between a first and second position by an actuator cooperatively engaged with the flap. The first position may be defined as to protect a camera lens positioned in the camera casing and a light source lens positioned in the light source casing. The second position may be defined as to not obscure a line-of-sight from either the light source and/or the camera to the work piece on the arm.

A FLASH MODULE CONTAINING AN ARRAY OF REFLECTOR CUPS FOR PHOSPHOR-CONVERTED LEDS
20170184944 · 2017-06-29 ·

In a thin flash module for a camera, a rectangular array of LEDs is mounted on a single lead frame. The lead frame connects the LEDs in series. The LEDs are much smaller than conventional LEDs in a flash module. The LEDs may be in 53 array or a 43 array, for example. An array of reflective cups is molded over the lead frame or attached to the lead frame, where each of the cups has a substantially square aperture to produce a square sub-beam. A layer of phosphor is located within each cup overlying its associated LED to produce white light. The aspect ratio of the array is selected to generally match the aspect ratio of the camera's field of view (e.g., 16:9). Since the LEDs are very small, the height of the cups may be small to form an ultra-thin flash module. Thin lenses may instead be used.

In an image pickup system, illumination light emitted by a light emission part is collected and reflected by an optical member and is distributed to a predetermined area. This light distribution to the predetermined area permits a constituent point farther away from the light emission part to receive illumination light having a greater intensity of light being equal to or greater than a predetermined reference value. The image pickup system thus distributing the illumination light enables the intensity of light incident on each pixel constituting an image pickup predetermined area to be equal to or greater than an intensity reference value while enabling the distribution of the intensity of light incident on each pixel constituting the image pickup predetermined area to be within a first reference range.

ILLUMINATION DEVICE

An illumination device generally has at least one light source and an attachment assembly that connects the light source to a computing device. The light source may be one or more LEDs or a light panel using electroluminescent lighting. The illumination device includes a power source coupled to the light source and a light control mechanism to change at least one of an operative state or an intensity of the light source. The illumination device may also be integrally connected to the computing device. A light cover is implemented to cover the light source and diffuse light emanating therefrom.

DEDICATED ILLUMINATION ELEMENT AND DISPLAY BASED FLASH ILLUMINATION FOR IMAGE CAPTURE
20170134625 · 2017-05-11 ·

Systems and methods for illuminating a subject for image capture are described herein. A processor may determine an ambient color temperature of a subject. The processor may further determine a color temperature for outputting light from a display facing a first direction based on a light output characteristic for a dedicated illumination element facing the first direction, the determined ambient color temperature, and a desired color temperature of the subject. The processor may further illuminate the subject using both the dedicated illumination element and the display. The display may output light based on the determined color temperature for outputting light from the display. The processor may further capture, using an image sensor facing the first direction, an image of the subject during the subject being illuminated using both the dedicated illumination element and the display.

A light source device includes: a plurality of light source parts configured to emit light. Each of the light source parts comprises a light-emitting element and a light guiding member. the plurality of light-emitting elements are configured to emit light passing through the light guiding members from the light source parts in an array in an irradiated region. One or more of the plurality of light source parts are arranged in a placement region in a different arrangement from an arrangement of the light in the irradiated region.

CAMERA FLASH WITH FRESNEL OPTIC

A camera flash is provided with a lens element adjacent a light source, wherein the lens element has a plurality of concentric ridges projecting from a surface of the generally planar member to define facets of a Fresnel lens, and wherein the plurality of concentric ridges define a generally square or rectangular shape having rounded corners.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPROVED FUNCTION AND REUSABILITY OF A DISPOSABLE CAMERA
20250093750 · 2025-03-20 · ·

A method is disclosed for enhancing the function of and reducing environmental impact of a disposable camera. The method may include assembling an apparatus, which may comprise an enclosure, a printed circuit board containing a light sensor, one or more reusable components, and a disposable camera. The apparatus may then be transferred to a user. After use, the apparatus may then be received and a film may be extracted from it, which may be developed into one or more photos. The apparatus may then be separated into component parts, with each part identified as reusable or unusable. The unusable components may then be disposed of via a disposal step, while the reusable components may be assembled again for future use. The developed photos may then be transferred to the user, and the unusable components may be transferred to a waste facility for proper disposal.
