Air Manifold
An air system for use in an air bed system can include a manifold and one or more valves. The manifold can define a an inlet, an outlet, and a vent fluidically connected to atmosphere. A method of operating an air bed system can include deflating an air chamber through the vent in a first valve configuration and through the vent and an exhaust port in a second valve configuration.
PILLOW WITH WIRELESS CHARGING
A bed has a mattress. A first wireless charging array is positioned on a top side of the mattress nearer a head of the mattress. A pillow is configured to be positioned atop the first wireless charging array. The pillow includes a second wireless charging array located on an underside of a pillow. The second wireless charging array is configured to receive energy from the first wireless charging array. A companion device is configured to use the energy. An energy storage device is within the pillow. The energy storage device is configured to store charge received by the first wireless charging array. The energy storage device is configured to supply power to the companion device.
Inflatable air mattress system architecture
A method may comprise receiving, at a central controller, a command, from a remote control, to adjust a feature of a first component of an air mattress framework; relaying, from the central controller, the command to the first component; receiving from the first component at the central controller, an indication of the success of the command; and relaying the indication from the central controller to the remote control.
BED HAVING FEATURES FOR ESTIMATING CORE BODY TEMPURATURES FROM SENSING OF CARDIAC PARAMETERS AND EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE
A bed has a mattress. One or more temperature sensors are used, each sensor configured to: sense a temperature for the sleeper; and transmit, to a controller, temperature readings; one or more pressure sensors, each pressure sensor configured to: sense a pressure applied to the mattress by the sleeper; and transmit, to a controller, pressure readings. A controller may include a processor and memory, the controller configured to: receive, from the temperature sensors, the temperature readings; determine a skin temperature for the sleeper based on the temperature readings; receive, from the pressure sensors, the pressure readings; determine at least one cardiac parameter for the sleeper; and determine, from the skin temperature and the cardiac parameter, a core temperature for the sleeper that is different than the skin temperature and represents thermal state of a core of a body of the sleeper.
BED HAVING SENSORS FEATURES FOR DETERMINING SNORE AND BREATHING PARAMETERS OF TWO SLEEPERS
A mattress supports a left-side user and a right-side user. At least one acoustic sensor is configured to sense acoustic energy in the environment of the left-side user and of the right-side user. At least one pressure sensor is configured to sense pressure applied to the left-side portion by the left-side user and applied to the right-side portion by the right-side user. A controller is configured to receive at least one acoustic stream from the at least one acoustic sensor and at least one pressure stream from the at least one pressure sensor. Left-side snore/breath parameters and right-side snore/breath parameters are generated. The controller is further configured to, responsive to determining that a home automation rule includes a condition that includes at least one of the left-side snore/breath parameters and the right-side snore/breath parameters send an instruction to drive a controllable device to the controllable device.
Bed having rollover identifying feature
A mattress has a first support portion configure to receive and support a first user and a second support portion configured to receive and support a second user. The first support portion and the second support portion are adjacent to each other such that the first user is capable of rolling over from the first support portion to the second support portion while sleeping on the first support portion. A sensor is configured to sense first pressure in the first support portion and sense second pressure in the second support portion. The sensor is further configured to transmit data of the first pressure and the second pressure. The controller is configured to receive the data and from the data of the first pressure and the second pressure, determine if the first user has rolled over from the first support portion to the second support portion.
SLEEP PHASE DEPENDENT PRESSURE CONTROL AND LEARNING METHODS TO OPTIMIZE SLEEP QUALITY
A bed includes components to control pressure of a sleep surface, for example based on sleep position and sleep stages of a user. In some embodiments target pressures for the sleep surface are iteratively adjusted over multiple sleep sessions so to achieve improvements in sleep states and/or sleep quality for the user.
Switching means for an adjustable foundation system
In one example, this disclosure describes an adjustable bed system that includes first and second adjustable foundations, at least one first motor to adjust the first adjustable foundation, at least one second motor to adjust the second adjustable foundation, a configurable device having a first state and a second state, and a central controller in communication with the device, the controller configured to receive an input representing one of the first state and the second state, the controller including a processor configured to control the at least one first motor and the at least one second motor based on the received input.
BED HAVING FEATURES FOR SENSING SLEEPER PRESSURE AND GENERATING ESTIMATES OF BRAIN ACTIVITY FOR USE IN DISEASE
One general aspect includes a bed having a mattress. The system also includes a sensor configured to: sense pressure of a sleeper on the mattress and transmit, to a controller, pressure data generated from the sensing of pressure of the sleeper on the mattress. The system also includes a controller may include a processor and a memory, the controller configured to receive the pressure data; identify, from the pressure data, one or more motion parameters; determine one or more cardiac measures of the sleeper from the motion parameters; determine, from the cardiac parameters, one or more neurologic measures of the sleeper; and determine, a disease state for the sleeper.
Valve body, electromagnet switch valve and bed structure
A valve body including an outer wall, an inner wall, and a connecting wall is provided. The outer wall has a first upper surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. At least one of the first side surface and the second side surface has a fluid hole. The inner wall is disposed within the outer wall. The inner wall shields the at least one fluid hole. A third side surface has an inner opening. The connecting wall is disposed within the outer wall. The connecting wall connects the inner opening of the inner wall and the fluid hole of the outer wall. Furthermore, an electromagnet switch valve and a bed structure are also provided.
