IMPROVED SEATING CUSHION
A pneumatically adjustable bladder system (90) for use in a cushioned seat bottom (24) has one or two rear foam filled bladders (62, 64) for location under the ischial tuberosities of a seated occupant of the seat bottom, and one or more expansion chambers (14, 16) or front foam filled bladders (66, 68) for location under the thighs of the seated occupant. There are air passageways (70, 72, 74, 92) interconnecting the bladders with each other or with an expansion chamber. The system is air tight and the bladders are compressible under the weight of the seated occupant and are expandable when the weight is removed. The compression of a bladder causes air therewith in to be displaced through the air passageways to the expansion chambers or to the other bladders, which then expand. The compression of a bladder under the ischial tuberosities of the seated occupant and the expansion of the expansion chambers or of the other bladders under the thighs of the seated occupant cause the seated occupant to experience a correct level of immersion into the cushioned seat bottom which is desired for effective postural support and prevention of lower back pain.
Mattress with adjustable firmness
A mattress can include one or more layers of foam material, an adjustable air layer including an air bladder, and a valve. The valve can be fluidically connected to the air bladder and configured to regulate pressure of the air bladder in response to actuation. Some embodiments can include a foam material positioned inside the air bladder.
Mattress construction with self inflated air spring
A multi-layer air mattress having an upper section with one or more layers of comfort material and a lower section having one or more layers of support material. A middle layer is arranged between the upper and lower sections and includes apertures for retaining air springs. The air spring has two cups that are sealed to a form plate to create a welded joint that encapsulates a sealed internal cavity. An invertible nipple is pressed into the internal cavity to reduce the cavity volume and self inflate the air spring.
STOWABLE BED
A self-inflating stowable bed. The bed includes one or more self-inflating chambers, with each of the self-inflating chambers having one or more polyurethane foam sections therein, with the chamber defined between a first air impervious layer and a second air impervious layer. The self-inflating bed may be evacuated by a household or shop vacuum, and then sealed, rolled or folded, and easily stored or shipped. The polyurethane foam sections may be provided with different members having different indentation force deflection specifications suitable for bed portions and edge of bed portions.
Air-cushion block structure, and mattress including air-cushion block structure installed therein
Provided is an air-cushion block structure, and a mattress including the air-cushion block structure installed therein. The mattress of the present invention is provided with an air-cushion block structure which includes: an upper cushion having a first core hole vertically formed therein; and a lower cushion which has a second core hole vertically formed therein, and is disposed at a lower portion of the upper cushion. Accordingly, it is possible to stably transfer a weight of a user applied from an upper portion of the air-cushion block structure to a lower portion thereof, as well as, achieve a structure that stably supports the weight of the user by minimizing an occurrence of torsional deflection caused by the weight.
Bed Apparatus Capable of Automatically Adjusting Bed Surface Based on Sleeping Position and Method Thereof
A bed apparatus capable of automatically adjusting a bed surface based on a sleeping position is disclosed. The bed apparatus includes a multi-layer bed body including an upper layer and a lower layer, material of the upper layer being softer than the material of lower layer; a shoulder airbag fixedly embedded in the upper layer and supported by the lower layer; a waist airbag movably disposed on the upper layer; a sleeping position sensing unit generating a sensing signal in response to the sleeping position of a user; a control box receiving the sensing signal, and determining the sleeping position of the user based on the sensing signal, and controlling the shoulder airbag or the waist airbag to inflate or deflate, responsively.
Inflation identification connector and air mattress system having same
An inflation identification connector and an air mattress system having the same is provided. The inflation identification connector is insertable into a connection seat of a gas delivery host. The connection seat has a light detection component coupled to a controller disposed in the gas delivery host. The inflation identification connector includes a body and an identification structure. The detection result of the light detection component depends on the identification structure and thus is conducive to identification. Upon its insertion into the connection seat, the inflation identification connector is identified by the gas delivery host, enhancing ease of use and protecting manual operation against mistakes. The gas delivery host is not only applicable to different types of air mattresses but also conducive to streamlined management of the air mattress system and reduction of management costs and risks.
Adjustable Topper and Related Method of Use
An adjustable mattress topper assembly disposed in a cover is disclosed. The topper assembly may have one or two inflatable multi-valve bladder assemblies filled with foam; the topper assembly may be disposed in a topper body of foam. A hand-trigger may be used to operate a valve and inflate and deflate the bladder assembly, which may be located below the lumbar of a supine user.
Inflatable tent with air mattress
The inflatable tent with air mattress is an inflatable shelter. The inflatable tent with air mattress comprises a quadric shelter and a base sheeting. The quadric shelter attaches to the base sheeting to form an enclosed interior space that serves as the shelter. The base sheeting is a fluid impermeable sheeting that forms a barrier between the ground and the enclosed interior space formed by the inflatable tent with air mattress. The quadric shelter is an inflatable structure. When inflated, the quadric shelter expands away from the base sheeting to form the enclosed interior spaces of the inflatable tent with air mattress The quadric shelter forms a liquid impermeable barrier that forms the superior surface of the inflatable tent with air mattress.
