ADAPTABLE MATTRESS
The present invention is in the field of an adaptable mattress wherein parts are removably attached to one and another. The mattress, or at least one part thereof, is typically reusable, and hence also recyclable. The mattress can be adapted to a user thereof. The present invention also relates to a method of forming said adaptable mattress, and to a kit of parts.

A support cushion for providing air flow to a user resting on the support cushion is provided. The support cushion includes pocketed coil layer and a base layer positioned adjacent to and below the pocketed coil layer. The pocketed coil layer including a plurality of fabric types for directing air flow. A fan is operably connected to the inlet hole of the base layer to provide air flow into and through the pocketed coil layer to a body support layer. Methods of controlling air flow through a support cushion are also provided.
AIR DISTRIBUTION FOR MATTRESSES
A ventilated mattress includes a ventilation system with an air distribution layer and a gel cushioning layer over the air distribution layer. The air distribution layer may include channels in a surface thereof, while voids that extend through an entire thickness of the gel cushioning layer may include voids that communicate with the channels. As the ventilation system forces air into the air distribution layer, the air may flow through the channels, into and through the voids of the gel cushioning layer, and to a top of the ventilated mattress.

Apparatuses, components, devices, methods, and systems for an adjustable firmness mattress are provided. An example rectangular shaped adjustable firmness mattress extends lengthwise from a head end to a foot end, widthwise from a first side to a second side, and depth-wise from a top side to a bottom side. The example mattress may include an adjustable firmness support layer disposed between the bottom side of the mattress and the top side of the mattress. The adjustable firmness support layer may include at least one rotatable assembly having an orientation-specific firmness, a bridge assembly disposed between the at least one rotatable assembly and the top side of the mattress; and a support assembly disposed between the at least one rotatable assembly and the bottom side of the mattress.
Customizable mattress with multiple sleep zones to improve spinal alignment during sleep
This invention includes a method to produce a customizable and user-configurable mattress foam core which comprises a plurality of transversely extended foam rods that were cut during the mattress production process. These transversely extended foam rods typically have a cross section of a convex shape, including triangles, squares, rectangles, circles, ovals and hexagons. These transversely extended foam rods can be replaced with foam rods of different firmness, creating more than 10 zones with varying firmness in each zone thus tailoring to the sleeper's needs, adjusting for their differences in height, weight, sleeping position, and comfort preference. Also, these zones together allow the user to configure the mattress for spinal alignment.
The transversely extended replacement foam rods typically have cross sections that are substantially the same shape as the pre-cut foam rods, but may also be of different shape. In one embodiment, the transversely extended replacement foam rods comprises foams of two or more different firmness in the transverse direction, thus allowing the mattress to be customized for multiple users with different sleeping needs.
PRODUCT INCLUDES A LIP PROJECTING FROM AN OUTER PERIMETER OF AN UNDERSIDE OF A MATTRESS TO DEFINE A RECESSED CAVITY AND HAVING GAPS IN THE LIP FOR PASSAGE OF A POWER CORD
A product upon which a person may lie down that includes a mattress whose underside has a peripheral flange or perimeter wall, i.e., a lip, that bounds a recessed cavity. The lip has gaps to accommodate passage of a power cord from within the recessed cavity to without. The lip and the mattress may have separate covers or both be within the same cover.

Wedge shaped unitary lateral support cushion
Aspects herein relate to a wedge shaped lateral support cushion that facilitates a side resting position for a user. The wedge shaped lateral support cushion in accordance with aspects herein is a unitary structure that is configured to support the head and the upper torso area of the user. In order to provide a proper alignment of the user's body in the side resting position, the wedge shaped lateral support cushion comprises a nook that is configured to receive the shoulder of the user so that the user has full range of motion of the arm that corresponds to the shoulder that is in accommodated in the nook. As such, the user can remain in the side resting position for prolonged periods of time, and can perform activities such as side sleeping, cuddling with a partner, lounging, and the like.
Adaptable Mattress for Prone and Side Positions
The present invention is a bed, mattress, or passed surface adaptable for sleeping or lying in the face down positions, also known as prone position; the side position; or other desired resting position. The invention includes a main body, accessory pieces adaptable for the different positions, and an optional bed frame and headboard. The present invention can also be used for a supine or reclined sleeping position.
VENTILATED MATTRESSES
A ventilated mattress includes a ventilation system with an air distribution layer and a gel cushioning layer over the air distribution layer. The air distribution layer may include channels in a surface thereof, while voids that extend through an entire thickness of the gel cushioning layer may include voids that communicate with the channels. As the ventilation system forces air into the air distribution layer, the air may flow through the channels, into and through the voids of the gel cushioning layer, and to a top of the ventilated mattress.
