There is disclosed an improved seat element having a seating surface element that incorporates a plurality of peak portions and a plurality of valley portions. Preferably, the plurality of peak portions and the plurality of valley portions is incorporated in an outermost surface of the seating surface element. The term outermost surface is intended to include an area of the seating surface element for contact by and/or support of an occupant of the seat element and does not include, for example, grooves or trenches in which there is disposed a component for attachment of a trim cover. A process and a mold for production of such a seat element are also described.

A contoured sleeping pad for use on a hot or other similar structure having a sag or valley in a central region. The contoured sleeping pad includes top and bottom surfaces and left and right longitudinal edges. The contoured sleeping pad has a height or thickness proximate the left and right longitudinal edges which is less than the height in a central region approximately midway between the left and right longitudinal edges.

The present invention relates to a regimen mattress. The regimen mattress includes a layer. The layer includes at least a cavity having an opening. At least a function foam block or a replaceable foam block is disposed in the cavity through the opening.
Adjustable mattress using inserted wands
Embodiments of a mattress and methods of manufacturing the same, wherein the mattress includes a body having one or more openings for removable inserts that a user can position within the openings to adjust the mechanical characteristics of the mattress, including the amount and location of support provided by the mattress to the user. Some embodiments of the mattress include one or more covers, such as a fire-retardant cover, that can encompass the mattress body while still allowing a user to access the openings of mattress body.

The subject invention is a device intended for use where support or restriction of motion of a body part is desired. The subject of the present invention is the formation of a network of lattice intrusions into the matrix of the device so that elements of the lattice can be removed to form a depression in the matrix of the device that conforms to the anatomy of the region that is being supported and positioned while offloading pressure.
SLEEPING PLATFORM
A sleeping platform for leveling and firming an inclined seating surface has a semi-rigid, rollable mat defining at sleeping area and is placed on the inclined seating surface, at least one wedge for placement under an edge area of the mat and on the inclined seating surface, a flexible, rollable mattress substantially equal in size to the sleeping area, for placement on an upper surface of the mat and a fitted sheet engaging at least around the mat and the mattress for providing a sleeping surface. A T-shaped bridge may also be included under the mat for keeping cushions of the seating surface from separating from each other during sleep.
Foam Mattress With Symmetrical Wavy Foam Layers
A symmetrical zoned foam mattress includes an upper foam layer with a wavy lower side and a lower foam layer with a wavy upper side. The lower layer has top, middle and bottom lateral valleys. The wavy lower side of the upper layer is glued to the wavy upper side of the lower layer. The top lateral valley has a minimum located within eighteen inches of the top head end of the lower layer. The bottom lateral valley has a minimum located within eighteen inches of the bottom foot end of the lower layer. A center plane intersects the lower foam layer at a minimum of the middle lateral valley. The minimum of each of the top and bottom lateral valleys is about fifteen inches from the end of the mattress regardless of whether the consumer chooses to use the top or bottom end as the head of the mattress.
Ventilated Adjustable Firmness Bed
A ventilated adjustable firmness bed designed to allow a user to manually change the firmness of their bed. A ventilated adjustable firmness bed includes a multilayered mattress and a uniform mattress, wherein the multilayered mattress and uniform mattress each have a different firmness. A cover is designed to enclose both the multilayered mattress and the uniform mattress, with a fastener designed to secure the multilayered mattress and the uniform mattress within the cover. The multilayered mattress has a plurality of apertures designed to provide ventilation and has one or more layers, each of a different firmness and extending the full width and length of the multilayered mattress such that each layer is flush against one another. The uniform mattress has a plurality of slots along an upper surface. In this way, a user is able to manually adjust the firmness of the bed through vertical alignment of the mattresses.
COLLAPSIBLE MATTRESS
A generally rectangular mattress formed in three foldable sections. The mattress has pairs of cut-out sections on either side of the lateral centre line of the mattress to provide means for the mattress to fold at those sections in opposing directions.
