COMPOSITION FOR HOLOGRAPHIC RECORDING MEDIUM, CURED PRODUCT FOR HOLOGRAPHIC RECORDING MEDIUM, AND HOLOGRAPHIC RECORDING MEDIUM

A holographic recording medium composition contains an isocyanate group-containing compound (component (a-1)), an isocyanate-reactive functional group-containing compound (component (b-1)), a polymerizable monomer (component (c-1)), a photopolymerization initiator (component (d-1)), and a stable nitroxyl radical group-containing compound (component (e-1)). A ratio of the total weight of a propylene glycol unit and a tetramethylene glycol unit that are contained in the component (b-1) to the total weight of the component (a-1) and the component (b-1) is 30% or less.

LITHOGRAPHIC MASK CORRECTION USING VOLUME CORRECTION TECHNIQUES

A method of making a mask includes computing a mask volume correction matrix for a given mask layout to be used to perform a lithography process. The mask volume correction matrix represents a diffraction field for a predetermined thickness of a material of the mask. A simulated mask pattern is computed by applying the mask volume correction matrix to the given mask layout. The simulated mask pattern is provided to a mask making tool.

PHOTOPOLYMER COMPOSITION

Provided is a photopolymer composition for hologram recording comprising: a polymer matrix or a precursor thereof; a dye including a compound of the following Chemical Formula 1; a photoreactive monomer; and a photoinitiator,

PATTERN FORMATION METHOD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLARIZING PLATE

Provided are a pattern formation method and a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate using the pattern formation method, the pattern formation method having: a step for forming, on a substrate, a linear guide pattern which is arranged at a predetermined pitch and is compatible with a portion of block chains of a block copolymer, and a neutral pattern embedded in the pattern of the guide pattern; a step for forming a layer including a block copolymer on the guide pattern and the neutral pattern; a step for heat-treating the layer including the block copolymer and forming a lamellar structure in which lamellar boundaries are arranged perpendicular to the substrate by microphase separation of the block copolymer; and a step for selectively removing a portion of the block chains of the block copolymer and thereby forming a line-and-space-shaped fine pattern having a smaller pitch than the guide pattern.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING TRIARYLORGANOBORATES

The invention relates to a process for preparing triaryl organo borates proceeding from organoboronic esters in the presence of an n-valent cation 1/n K.sup.n+, comprising the anhydrous workup of the reaction mixture and the use of the triaryl organoborates obtained as co-initiator in photopolymer formulations, holographic media and holograms.

ADHESIVE-FREE PHOTOPOLYMER LAYER STRUCTURE

The invention relates to a process for producing a layer construction with adhesive-free bonding, to a layer structure comprising an exposed photopolymer layer B and a substrate layer C of (co)polycarbonate, to a sealed optical medium comprising the layer structure, and to an optical display and a security document comprising the sealed optical medium.

HIGH-THROUGHPUT MANUFACTURING OF PHOTONIC INTEGRATED CIRCUIT (PIC) WAVEGUIDES USING MULTIPLE EXPOSURES

In accordance with a method of forming a waveguide in a polymer film disposed on a substrate, a plurality of regions on a polymer film are selectively exposed to a first dosage of radiation. The polymer film is formed from a material having a refractive index that decreases by exposure to the radiation and subsequent heating. At least one region of the polymer film that was not previously exposed to the radiation is selectively exposing to a second dosage of radiation. The second dosage of radiation is less than the first dosage of radiation. The polymer film is heated to complete curing of the polymer film.

Filter for laser protection

A method of forming a filter, comprising the steps of: selecting at least a first wavelength corresponding to a predetermined laser threat and having a first colour in the visible spectrum; providing a generally transparent substrate and forming a first notch filter region therein configured to substantially block incident radiation thereon of wavelengths within a first predetermined wavelength band including said first wavelength; selecting a second wavelength having a second colour in the visible spectrum and forming a colour balancing notch filter region in said substrate configured to block incident radiation thereon of wavelengths within a wavelength band including said second wavelength, thereby to balance or neutralise any colour distortion of said substrate caused by said first notch filter region.
