The plurality of markings are configured to indicate a distance from the first end of the rear wall to the shelf based on alignment of the shelf with at least one of the plurality of markings.

A bracket for attaching a mullion to a frame includes a mullion-engaging portion that couples with the mullion, a frame-engaging portion that couples with a frame segment, a middle portion between the mullion-engaging portion and the frame-engaging portion, and a flange projecting from the middle portion. A display device for illuminating a packaged beverage includes a panel having a front end opposite a rear end. The panel further includes a top surface on which a packaged beverage may be placed, and the top surface has transparent portions. A light source is arranged within the panel for illuminating the packaged beverage arranged on the top surface of the panel. The display device further includes an end cap having a front wall arranged at the front end of the panel.

A refrigerated display cabinet includes a cabinet body, a refrigerated space arranged within an interior of the cabinet body, and a door operably coupled to the cabinet body to selectively seal the refrigerated space. The door is movable between a closed position and an open position. A baffle is operably coupled to the door and is movable between an extended configuration. When the door is in the open position, the baffle is in the extended configuration.

A refrigerated merchandiser includes a refrigerated insulated cabinet having a front wall that is hingedly attached to the cabinet. The front wall is rotatable between a closed position covering a storage area in the cabinet and an open position permitting access to the storage area. An opening is provided in the front wall to permit merchandise to be removed from the storage area when the front wall is in the closed position. Adjusting the front wall to the open position permits pallets loaded with merchandise, including ice bags, to be loaded into the merchandiser with a wheeled lifting device such as a forklift or hand jack. The bottom wall of the merchandiser may be removable, such that the entire floor supporting the pallet may be removed and exchanged through the opened front wall. A roller may be provided on the front wall to help in adjusting the front wall between the open and closed positions.

A monitoring and control system is provided. The system includes a plurality of sensors for obtaining readings associated with food items, such as temperature readings, freshness indications, and the like. The system is scalable and configurable with each sensor being capable of functioning as an individual sensor and/or as part of a grouping of sensors. The system is configured to obtain a variety of information, such as ambient air temperature, dwell time of food items, moisture levels, and the like, thereby enabling the system to recognize current and future concerns. The system provides audio and visual warnings and visual displays. In some embodiments, the system performs one or more physical operation based on one or more detected condition. The system is further configured to distinguish between accurate readings and inaccurate readings and/or to otherwise determine if an obstacle is preventing a sensor from obtaining an accurate reading.

A merchandiser that includes a case defining a product display area and a base defining a compartment below the product display area. The merchandiser includes a shelf coupled to the case within the product display area adjacent the base. The shelf is disposed over the compartment and includes a first portion and a second portion. Each of the first portion and the second portion define a product support area to support food product. Also, the second portion is pivotable relative to the first portion to provide access to the compartment.

A diagnostics system for a display case includes a display case, a display device, and a remote controller, according to some embodiments. The display case includes a local controller, a refrigeration apparatus, and multiple sensors. The remote controller includes a processing circuit configured to receive diagnostics data from the local controller of the display case, according to some embodiments. The processing circuit is configured to identify one or more events using the diagnostics data and assign a rank to each of the one or more events. The processing circuit is configured to promote the rank of each of the one or more events based on an amount of time that each of the one or more events persists. The processing circuit is configured to operate the display device to notify a user regarding the one or more events and the rank of each event.
