An electrophotographic photosensitive member that is excellent in image smearing resistance and low torque while maintaining its electrophotographic characteristic. The electrophotographic photosensitive member is an electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising, in this order: a support; a photosensitive layer; and a protection layer as a surface layer, wherein the protection layer has a surface having a developed area ratio Sdr of 1.0% to 40.0%, and wherein an A value represented by the following formula (1) is 0.10 to 0.27: A=S1/S2 . . . formula (1), where, in the formula (1), S1 represents a peak area based on C═C stretching vibration of an aromatic ring by attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and S2 represents a peak area based on C═O stretching vibration of an ester group by the same method.

An electrophotographic member includes an electro-conductive substrate, and an elastic layer as a surface layer, the elastic layer constituted by a single-layer, wherein the elastic layer includes a first resin, a second resin and an anion, the first resin is a crosslinked urethane resin, and the crosslinked urethane resin is a resin having a specific cationic structure in the molecule, the second resin is at least one of a crosslinked acrylic resin having an ether bond and a crosslinked epoxy resin having an ether bond, and in a first area of the elastic layer, the first are being from an outer surface of the elastic layer to a depth of 0.1 μm, the first resin and the second resin form an interpenetrating polymer network structure.

A process cartridge including: an electrophotographic photosensitive member having a drum shape; a developing unit for developing an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member with toner; and a cleaning blade for removing the toner on the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member, the cleaning blade being in contact with the electrophotographic photosensitive member, wherein the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises wrinkles on the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member, and wherein the toner has a fluidity torque E of 320 mJ or more.

In an electrophotographic photosensitive member, wrinkles have a convex portion in which a linear shape portion having a length of 50 μm or longer exists, the linear shape portion is parallel to any one of L1 to L150 and L1651 to L1800, and each of L1 to L1800 intersects with the convex portion at a plurality of places, and at least two of the places have different intersection angles; and when height information of the wrinkles is subjected to a frequency analysis, and a two-dimensional power spectrum is obtained, a one-dimensional radial distribution function has at least one local maximum value, and when an angular distribution is calculated from the spectrum at a frequency of the local maximum value, the power values have a particular relationship.
Electrophotographic photoreceptor, process cartridge, and image forming apparatus
An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer on the conductive substrate. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has an outermost surface layer that contains fluorine-containing resin particles and a fluorine-containing graft polymer. The fluorine-containing resin particles contain 0 or more and 30 or less carboxy groups per 10.sup.6 carbon atoms. The outermost surface layer has a dielectric constant of 3.75 or more and 3.90 or less. The contact angle of pure water on the outermost surface layer is 90° or more.
Image forming method and image forming system
Provided is an image forming method using a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image and an electrophotographic photoreceptor, and containing at least a charging step, an exposing step, a developing step and a transferring step, wherein the electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer, and the photosensitive layer contains a triphenylamine derivative having a specific structure as a charge transport material, and the toner for developing an electrostatic charge image contains at least titanic acid compound particles as an external additive.

The object of the present invention is to provide a positive charging electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity, low residual potential, and excellent chargeability, and relates to a positive charging electrophotographic photoreceptor including a conductive support, a photosensitive layer, and a protective layer in this order, the photosensitive layer containing a charge generation substance, a positive hole transport substance, and an electron transport substance in the same layer, in which the positive hole transport substance includes at least one of the compounds represented by any one of the following formulas (1) to (5), and a binder resin of the protective layer is an alcohol-soluble thermoplastic resin, providing that the symbols in the formula are defined in the specification. ##STR00001##
FLEXIBLE PRINTED MATERIAL
A method of forming a flexible printed material is described. The method comprises applying a layer of primer onto a flexible substrate; electrostatically printing onto the layer of primer a liquid electrostatic ink composition; applying a curable overprint varnish composition onto the printed electrostatic ink composition and curing the overprint varnish composition using electron beam irradiation. The curable overprint varnish composition comprises an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated oligomer, or mixtures thereof, and less than 10 wt. % of a cross-linking additive based on the total weight of the curable overprint varnish composition. A flexible package comprising the flexible printed material is also described.
Electrophotographic photoreceptor, process cartridge, and image forming apparatus
An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer on the conductive substrate. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has an outermost surface layer that contains fluorine-containing resin particles and an antioxidant. The fluorine-containing resin particles contain 0 or more and 30 or less carboxy groups per 10.sup.6 carbon atoms. A decrease in weight of the antioxidant when heated at 150° C. for 10 minutes in an air atmosphere is 40 mass % or less.
Electrophotographic photosensitive member, process cartridge, and electrophotographic apparatus
Disclosed is a cylindrical electrophotographic photosensitive member having a region A along an outer surface and a region B along the outer surface. In this electrophotographic photosensitive member, the region A is located on an end side in an axial direction of the electrophotographic photosensitive member relative to the region B, the region A has a specific groove provided on the outer surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member, an area ratio a1 of the groove is 65% to 100%, the region B has specific concave portions provided on the outer surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member, and an area ratio a2 of the concave portion is 5% to 65%.
