Electrophotographic recording media

An electrophotographic recording media containing a base substrate coated on at least one side with an image-receiving layer that contains a polymeric polyolefin resin and more than about 20 wt % of inorganic pigments dispersed into said resin. Also disclosed is a method of 5 making such recording media and process for producing an image on said electrophotographic recording media.

Printable recording media

A printable recording media including a supporting base substrate having, on its image side, a pre-coating layer that contains inorganic pigments and polymeric binders, and a top ink-receiving layer that includes inorganic pigments, polymeric binders and non-film forming polymers; and, having a polymer barrier layer on its backside. Also described herein is a method for making the printable recording media, a method for forming printed articles, and the obtained printed articles.

High opacity laser printable facestock

A multilayer laminate such as a label assembly having high opacity and desirable appearance characteristics is described. The laminate includes a facestock layer, an adhesive layer, and a liner layer. The facestock layer includes a print-receiving top coat layer that includes a combination of titanium dioxide and one or more optical brighteners. The combination of these materials avoids build up of static charges upon laser printing on the facestock.

Imaging member for offset printing applications

An imaging member includes a surface layer comprising a fluorosilicone and an infrared-absorbing filler. At least 75% of the siloxane units in the fluorosilicone are fluorinated. Methods of manufacturing the imaging member and processes for variably lithographic printing using the imaging member are also disclosed.

ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

An electrophotographic apparatus including: an electrophotographic photosensitive member; a developing unit, which includes a toner, and which is configured to develop an electrostatic latent image with the toner to form a toner image on a surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member; and a cleaning unit configured to remove a residual toner remaining on the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member after the toner image is transferred from the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member onto a transfer material, wherein the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member is formed of amorphous silicon carbide, wherein a Si atom density in a region in the vicinity of the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member from the surface to a depth of 100 nm is 1.010.sup.22 atoms/cm.sup.3 or less, and wherein the toner contains a toner particle that contains a polyester resin having a polyethylene terephthalate segment and an inorganic fine particle.

DEVELOPING APPARATUS, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

A developing apparatus including: a toner having a toner particle and an external additive; a toner carrying member used for carrying the toner; and a charging member used for injecting charge into the toner, in which the external additive includes a fine particle A and a fine particle B, the fine particle A is at least one fine particle selected from a group consisting of a silica fine particle and a silicone fine particle, the fine particle B is a specific conductive fine particle, the toner carrying member is a developing roller having: a substrate having an outer surface having conductivity; and a resin layer on the outer surface of the substrate, and impedance of the outer surface of the developing roller and a maximum value of electric potential of the outer surface are in specific ranges.
