Fan plenum assembly and attachment in a merchandiser
A fan plenum assembly for a merchandiser. The fan plenum assembly includes a plenum housing that defines an opening configured to receive a fan, and that has a side wall with a slot and a slot extension continuous with the slot. The slot has a major axis extending through a center of the slot. A bearing is configured to rotationally support a hinge pin and is coupled to the side wall. The bearing includes a positioning element that is disposed in the slot and in the slot extension. The positioning element is movable within the slot and the slot extension such that the bearing is movable along the major axis to permit axial adjustment of a position of the bearing relative to the plenum housing and the bearing is immovable rotationally relative to the plenum housing.
Refrigerated display case
A refrigerated display case comprising framework having four sides, each side including a C-shaped frame with a rear vertical side strut, a top side strut, and a bottom side strut; the C-shaped side frames are constructed separately and support cover panels of a bottom assembly, a rear wall assembly, and a top assembly, the cover panels being fastened by mounting elements and delimit a cooling chamber, the cooling chamber including at least one C-shaped intermediate frame between the C-shaped side frames, the at least one C-shaped intermediate frame is spaced laterally apart from the C-shaped side frames, the C-shaped intermediate frames each include a horizontal bottom intermediate strut, a vertical intermediate strut and a top intermediate strut.
AIR CURTAIN BLANKING PLATE
An open display refrigerator comprises a refrigerated interior space, air in the refrigerated interior space being separated from air exterior to the open display refrigerator by an air curtain established by a fan which blows air through an air outlet towards a corresponding air inlet which recovers air from the air curtain for recirculation to the air outlet. A distal region of the air outlet is occluded to leave only a region of the air outlet proximal to the interior space open, and an air curtain guide is aligned in a direction of air flow of the air curtain with an edge of the blanking plate proximal to the interior space.
Deflector for display cases
Display cases may include deflectors and fans. The deflectors may alter air currents generated by fans to provide an air current to display portions of the display case. In some implementations, the altered air current may have a first portion with a velocity that is greater than a velocity of a second portion, where the first portion is closer to a display portion of the display case.
Display case with insulated foam paneling
A refrigerated display case chassis includes a first insulated panel and a second insulated panel. The first insulated panel has a first foam layer bounded by a first pair of thermally conductive sheets. The first insulated panel forms a first wall of the refrigerated display case chassis. The second insulated panel has a second foam layer bounded by a second pair of thermally conductive sheets. The second insulated panel forms a second wall of the refrigerated display case chassis. The second insulated panel mates with the first insulated panel to form a thermally insulated joint where, in cross-section, one sheet of the first pair of thermally conductive sheets terminates at a surface of the second foam layer. The thermally conductive sheets have a greater thermal conductivity than the first or second foam layers.
Multi-circuit cooling element for a refrigeration system
A temperature controlled case includes a housing that defines a temperature controlled space and a multi-circuit cooling element in thermal communication with the temperature controlled space. The multi-circuit cooling element includes two or more cooling coils. Each of the cooling coils is coupled to a different circuit structured to selectively circulate coolant through the multi-circuit cooling element. Each circuit is fluidly separate from each remaining circuit such that the coolant circulated through each circuit is not shared with each remaining circuit. The multi-circuit cooling element further includes a plurality of heat exchange fins coupled to each of the two or more cooling coils such that each of the heat exchange fins facilitates heat removal from the temperature controlled space by each of the two or more cooling coils.
Refrigerated merchandiser with airflow support system
A refrigerated merchandiser includes a case having a lower wall, an upper wall, a rear wall, and a rear panel. A product support area is at least partially defined by the lower wall, the upper wall, and the rear panel. A first air passageway is formed in the case for supplying refrigerated air to the product support area. A fan is positioned in the first air passageway for creating airflow. An evaporator coil is disposed in the air passageway to condition the airflow. A duct is coupled to the rear panel to create a second air passageway.
Refrigerated Case with a Self-Contained Condensate Removal System
A preferred embodiment utilizes the waste heat from a refrigerant cycle to aid in the removal of condensate from a refrigerated case used primarily by grocery stores. Certain embodiments use a heating element to boil off condensate or a pump to remove the condensate. Another embodiment utilizes a wicking element and a shroud that directs hot air from the condenser through the wick thereby increasing the condensate evaporation rate. Yet another embodiment utilizes the hot gas tube from the refrigeration system routed through the bottom of the condensate tray to pre-heat the condensate to accelerate evaporation. Alternative embodiments combine certain features to create even more efficient system such as a heating element used with the wick system or the hot gas system used with the wick system. In some embodiments, a mold and mildew inhibitor is added to the condensate to maintain cleanliness.
Refrigerators
A refrigerator has an open front and an air curtain system having at least one upper air egress with an outer edge and at least one lower air-recovery ingress. The air curtain system is adapted to produce a substantially vertical air curtain over at least part of the open front of the refrigerator. The refrigerator comprises at least one shelf between the egress and the ingress, the shelf having a front edge, and at least one elongate air-guiding strip extending across at least part of the open front of the fridge. The strip is located substantially in the plane of the shelf and spaced from the front edge of the shelf. The strip is located substantially vertically beneath the outer edge of the upper air egress.
Refrigerated case
The device is a cooling appliance with a cooling chamber that includes a top assembly with a top, rear, and bottom; a rear wall assembly and a bottom assembly. The bottom assembly is supported by vertically adjustable front and rear feet. The front and rear feet include a vertical adjustment mechanism that is accessible from above and are vertically adjustable from above through the bottom assembly.
